@PatKennyNT It was very disappointing to hear you recently buying the PR line that things are getting better with scoliosis treatment in Ireland. They really aren’t. https://t.co/SZPrtntuw6
@stevethewall We got to episode 5 of #HouseOfGuinness this morning. I can see why they chose it. Your lyrics fit the action in those opening scenes perfectly. We can never hear too much of that track anyway. Whoever it was told you it was “too guitary” was a big eejit.
@SeanMoncrieff Micro pettiness feels like a label designed to make the petty individual feel better about themselves. Pegging ice cubes of weed killer into another person’s garden doesn’t really sound like a micro anything.
This will be my 17th Christmas sober - day at a time. If this is your first sober Christmas here are some tips for staying sober this holiday season:
1. Bring your own minerals or water
2. Bring chocolate - sugar helps with cravings.
3. Have a phone number of a friend who is also sober and give them a call.
4. Organize a meet up with a sober friend after dinner or in the evening if possible.
Tips as a host:
1. Ask the person what drink would they like and if they would mind if you had a drink at the dinner. Most of us in recovery would rather you enjoyed your drink.
2. Plan a walk together after dinner or some activity that doesn't involve alcohol
3. Treat us normally.
Enjoy your holidays and remember you are not alone. There are many of us who are out there and will support you. We not a glum lot just because we don't drink. It gets easier day by day. Well done.

“People talk about cost but there is cost to the children’s safety as well; their dignity and their human rights.”
This article from @griffinniamh in the Examiner paints a clear picture. My wife @Horlickstothat is the Mum who Niamh spoke to for it.

Why is it that waiting list validation can happen @CHI_Ireland for cardiac waiting lists but not for spinal waiting lists?
Parents/guardians are being refused info on whether their child is listed for spinal surgery
On the hunt again for OLD style Peppa pigs for Jack, must be the TY version with beans in the bum. The modern versions in all the shops won’t do. I looked for a few this time two years ago & was lucky to get two plus a bonus big one. He loves her & is rarely seen without her. TIA
If you’re wondering where was Harvey today whilst his mam and dad were in the dail fighting for their beautiful son, well here is where he was!!!!

No, a nation’s psyche can’t be summed up with one phrase and it’s ridiculous (and frankly offensive) to even suggest it. On an unrelated note, there’s a Finnish phrase that goes leuka rintaan ja kohti uusia pettymyksiä. It means “chin to the chest and towards new disappointments”
Mr Moore speaks as if he alone knows the truth of the situation & has arrived to save the day. Mr Moore has been an Ortho consultant in CHI for decades & is very much a player in the dysfunctional system of chaos, under resourcing & failure to care that CHI has perpetrated.
