@kmklapak@primetimecrime If you spend a second in his social media it is obvious that this man is indeed certifiable. However, for some reason the sensible comments like this one only get a few hundred views but all the ones that yell authoritarianism get thousands of views.
Without American and European support, Erdoğan wouldn’t have been able to turn Turkey into the authoritarian nightmare it is today. Any meaningful democratic improvement in Turkey will require pushing back against these actors and their enabling policies, not working through them
@teenburger@thestarcard100@TalkingSmack58@AntonioTweets2 Well yes, they not only extract the most of the value of your labor, they tax you on whatever’s left and replace you with cheaper alternatives(whom they had already exploited to abject poverty) the moment they can.
@ElectionDigest@MBrant75@CityNewsTO@resaleTOhomes One person getting caught doing 80 in 40 doesn’t mean people are doing 120 on average. This is just bad, sensationalist journalism. The headline is misleading people to think as if people doing 120 regularly whereas the article says more people are speeding. Big difference.
@ElectionDigest@MBrant75@CityNewsTO@resaleTOhomes A 200% increase in speed is just false. @40km/h, a 200% increase means people are doing 120km/h and that is simply not happening. The article says the number of speeders increased, the headline says the speeds increased. One isn’t true.
@MehmetKara_USA@TakavutlerOrhan@bayrakmedya Hukukcu diyor bi de biosunda. Seni hangi hukuk fakültesinden mezun ettiler bilelim de bi daha ordan cikan avukatla is yapmayalim.
@meh_just_a_guy@pcrowe@gregbradyx There will be 60-75K people arriving and leaving Rogers Centre and Scotiabank arena half an hour apart on Sunday. Plus two more jays games, a tfc game, a marlies game and a concert at scotiabank on other days. It’s just common sense to not close the highway this weekend.
@meh_just_a_guy@pcrowe@gregbradyx I mean, there were no big events last weekend. The city could at least coordinate with all three of its three sporting arenas to see if there are large events on a particular weekend they plan to shut down a highway.
@KM_DOB@gregbradyx Last weekend or next weekend? There was not and will not be any major events on either of those dates but they gotta pick the most crowded weekend for some reason.
