Eeeeee, fuuuuuck.
No wonder USAF tapped out.
I was under the impression that this drone swarm (the one that was spotted by the F-15 crew around Isfahan… you remember that whole Odyssey, the one Michael Bay is turning into a movie for some reason) was feeding data to one of Iran’s ‘vehicle’ mounted SAMs.
Data streaming to a MANPAD crew ‘completely’ changes the ballgame, more so than even the FPV drone revolution.
@9honeybadger9 If the rich SC/STs become ineligible for reservation, they would take preparation aiming to crack GC cutoffs.
Currently very few SC/STs are good enough to qualify in a GC seat post creamy layer the numbers would increase (albeit UCs would still dominate but still bad for us)
God knows you have enough money to fund a personal VC, where you can actually help more than "ONE" deep tech startup.
Your @MahindraRise funding is abysmal still.
The future cutting edge of India’s Defence capability will be shaped by startups.
This one just built a drone that outperforms the Shahed.
Don’t be deceived by the rudimentary lab or the untidy test field.
These teams are hungry, lean, and they rebuild their product every time the battlefield changes.
Theyre quick enough to beat the enemy to the next move.
We need to nurture them like national assets.
Because that’s what they are.
@GauravT71548031 IAF wanted a bigger platform. Netra Mk1, however good the system is, has some limitations inherent to the platform. Namely: power generation, airtime, crew comfort etc.
even before taking into account spares, MRO and embrear was INVESTIGATED for briber..
@kushal_mehra Hi @kushal_mehra I'm a pretty slow person so I need to understand..
Is democracy not in danger now? will @Javedakhtarjadu saab write a column on it?
Are BJP handles rejoicing, doing a disservice even to their own cause by placing a religious body over an elected?
@hellfire_81 Do you have source that corroborate "citing technical inabilities"?
Also the fundamental thinking of DRDO as system integrator does a disservice. If there is a research project, it will need funds to fail. More funds than previous try for every "failure", that's how it works.
@swaramehtaa I'm not assuming how old you are, or how much previous discussion regarding kaveri engine dev (spanning decades) have you sifted through..
TLDR; Jet engines experience not only thermal but centrifugal stress too. Also it needs to come back & ready to go again 10s of time.
@KSingh_1469 It's the sheer joy of being invited by some military babu, promising an exclusive look at an exquisite machine & a few drops of his voice nectar, who wouldn't otherwise give time of the day to him.. it's the taste of exclusivity that made him giddy with joy..
The Etihad Curse
Every Airline that Etihad invested in, died.
Air Berlin
Alitalia
Jet Airways
Darwin Airlines
Adria Airways
Although Etihad's investment is not directly involved to their death, it's crazy that it happened with 5 airlines.
@VinodDX9 it may sound ridiculous, but we can buy the design for the aircraft along with engine with some critical components of it on the DL. Tinker with the design a bit to put Indian materials like RAS & stuff. Make the whole gut Desi with components from AMCA program.
@khabdoda Also DMRL has SC blades and they have ACTUALLY supplied them to HAL for prototyping HTSE-1200 engines.
For jet engines, I believe they're currently setting up the industry ecosystem for not only SC blades but subsequent processing too.
@khabdoda ONLY 4 countries can make SC blades and subsequent processing of it that DRDO is targeting. USA, UK, France and Japan. No data on China but Russia is behind.
SC blade package might be the hardest but an engine has MANY MORE pain points.
NO OTHER country make SC blades currently.
