@vanishedchicago@Chicago_History I remember getting that station even up in Wisconsin. It was fuzzy on my 19” tv but had all the videos. Reminds me of getting Nite-Owl late at night on FLD.
@Chicago_History WLUP in the early 90s from Johnny B to Ed Schwartz what’s crazy lineup. Then Joe Who on weekends. Though growing up WBBM was always on. I always knew exactly what time it was.
@horrormuseum Got mine at the local dime store back in the 70s. They were red with an elastic button band. The Spidey logo for the button. Paired with a Ben Cooper costume that was the best. Glad to see they returned! Simple cool concept.
@Chicago_History Crime Story - 60s Chicago filmed in the 80s by Michael Mann. Hard to believe it was a weekly show. Really good. Fun to spot the neighborhoods.
@Chicago_History It brings back good memories watching WFLD during the day on the olive green living room carpet. Empire carpets is the No. 1. What was the Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! commercial?
@ChrisJonesArt If you take a short drive out to Chatsworth you can eat at “The Munch Box” great little hamburger stand has been there forever. Recommended!
@Svengoolie@therealjoebob I seem to remember back in the 90s tuning in my rabbit ear “19 TV to pick up the “U” out of Chicago to watch this on Sven. Was it first aired in 1995? I might have a copy of it with my X-Files tapes!
