BBC. Listen. When doctor who isn't getting the viewers you'd hoped for, reduce its budget. Let it be niche, and FORCE your writers to just do self-contained sci Fi adventures with no returning characters, settings, or monsters from previous runs. Keep hiring fresh writing talent.
a Zionist fanatic at the Oxford Union angrily asks George Galloway if he is racist because of his opposition to the genocidal Israeli occupation, and is applauded by the audience. Here's Galloway's response that gets the audience to applaud him by the end:
it wasn’t even ruby’s mother pointing at a street sign when nobody was looking at her that got me, but the random ass thanos deaths??? the stakes were meant to feel high but the lackluster writing made it impossible to want to root for anyone, even the doctor
I kept getting pulled out because of the endless closeups and big close ups it was dizzying and it made the episode feel too tight and odd looking honestly not the best direction or editing at all
I really liked The Church on Ruby Road but I have to admit I just think the direction was just... poor
Really not good shots like these are prevalent throughout the episode with what feels like little regard for the rule of thirds or any proper blocking to properly show (1/3)
