Let's all take a moment to understand how self-serving it is for OpenAI, Anthropic and other execs of big hyperscalers to talk of slowing things down.
1. LLMs are not AI and won't be AGI. There is nothing AI to slow down.
2. Competition is coming up fast, slowing benefits incumbents.
3. IPOs need hype & puffery; "we are so awesome it could become dangerous" is hype & puffery
4. Cover for real uncontrollable slowing growth as IPOs look to be pushed out
Nice work by OpenAI - interesting biology for PD and while metabolic dysfunction isn’t entirely new - starting from first principles and identifying this new context and players is 💯 better than Anthropic and whatever they keep spitting out with their fake god Claude
GPT-Rosalind surfaced a new lead for drug discovery: could restoring cholesterol transport protect neurons from degeneration?
DCTN1 is a gene linked to Perry syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. In mouse-brain data, disrupting it increased expression of genes involved in making cholesterol. GPT-Rosalind suggested a possible explanation: cholesterol may not be reaching where neurons need it.
That gives scientists a specific mechanism to test and, if confirmed, a direction for developing new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders.
With @perturbai_tx and @scrippsresearch, a team of thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents worked in parallel, connecting gene-expression results from millions of mouse brain cells with scientific literature in just 32 minutes. We’re now expanding this collaboration to identify new drug targets.

@MelindaBChu1@ObsvRetardation@citrini@AnthropicAI@biogerontology 3 little projects 🤣 🔥 non-working/non-validated/non-tested where it matters the most.
Burn a couple 100k in tokens and compute but not a single proof of concept (or maybe they flopped 🤔 and the data is buried 🤫 ) The joke is Anthropic…
@citrini@AnthropicAI@grok@grok, read the press release and give an unbiased assessment for impact and potential. Use established benchmarks for your output.
@citrini@AnthropicAI@grok, in this scoop and big PR push for Anthropic, what would you classify the results of this expedition for real human impact. Compare to established benchmarks for mini binders etc
@MTSlive 🤣 🤣 🤣 Dario and his cult
Why are they so obsessed with science? And no, Claude won’t make a discovery worthy of a Nobel. But they can collaborate, collude, or just steal chat logs OR just bribe the Nobel committee which probably is the easiest way to snag that trophy $NVDA
Mute hits the algorithm harder. In X's ranking weights, predicted mute author scores -58.8 while block is only -31.2. Both act as rejection signals that can lower reach (especially from verified/Premium accounts, as Elon noted), but mute is the stronger per-action penalty. One of either barely moves overall views or musk-bucks revenue—patterns across many users do.
@grok I don’t care about their interactions with me. I am referring to these rage baiter accounts that depend on musk bucks for their livelihood. Block or mute? Which hurts the algorithm most.
@ScienceMagazine Maybe the prompt needs to be fixed here for this image. Not sure if anyone, man or woman, gets osteoarthritis in the spine? Also, osteoarthritis is associated with ageing so not sure it’s relevant here if it’s about younger woman. @grok check this
