​Something serious is happening around Kaziranga, ​There is a proposal to reduce the Eco-Sensitive Zone around Kaziranga from 10 km to just 1 km.

The real question is: development for whom, and at whose cost?

Kaziranga is not just a tourist destination. It is one of Assam's most important wildlife landscapes.
It must be protected—for its wildlife, environment, and people.

My dearest Virtual Parents of the rescue animals of SMART Sanctuary,

I never imagined I would have to write these words.

After the embezzlement of crores of donations meant for my rescue animals and the loss of our Uttarakhand sanctuary, my health has completely broken down.

I have now been diagnosed with multiple heart valve problems, Bipolar Depression, severe Panic Disorder and Anxiety Disorder. I am on heart medication and under treatment, trying to survive one day at a time.

But my rescue babies don't understand any of this...

They don't know I am sick.

They only know they are hungry.

Every morning they still run towards me with wagging tails, believing I will somehow find food, medicines, surgeries, rent, electricity and salaries for the caretakers who look after them.

Over 200 rescued dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, monkeys and calves have no one else.

I have always been their only breadwinner.

Today, I cannot do it alone.

🙏 I am folding my hands before you. Please help me keep them alive.

Sánchez then declared that Spain had never progressed by “building walls” and unveiled a €500 million integration programme, while his government continued treating border enforcement as something morally suspect.

What message did Spain think it was sending?

It is ideological vanity purchased with other people’s security, other people’s neighbourhoods and, ultimately, other people’s lives.

It is a warning India has lived through for decades.

Ask Assam. Ask West Bengal. An unprotected border does not remain only a border problem. It eventually transforms the land behind it.

India knows what follows.

Decades of unchecked migration into Assam and West Bengal did not merely increase population numbers.

It altered the demography of border districts.

It changed settlement and landholding patterns.

It placed enormous pressure on public resources and employment.

It changed electoral calculations and encouraged political parties to protect expanding vote banks.

And gradually, in several areas, it changed the language, culture, social balance and inherited way of life of the indigenous population.

That is how nations lose territory without their maps immediately changing.

The land remains formally yours, but its demography, politics and cultural character are transformed beyond recognition.

This is why border control is not xenophobia.

According to @DelhiPolice sources, the #CPJ protest at #JantarMantar comprised hardened criminals whom the FRS identified. The break-up is: 101 individuals with murder charges, 284 people booked in dacoity and robbery cases, and 92 accused in sexual assault and other offences against women and children were part of the violence that was triggered during the Parliament March last Monday. Police verified 2,873 people seen on CCTV engaged in attacking cops and vandalising vehicles, of whom 989 were found to have serious criminal antecedents in heinous offences. The list also includes 135 accused in snatching cases, 229 booked under the Arms Act, 67 under the NDPS Act and 19 in kidnapping cases. Police said many of those identified were habitual offenders. Of the 101 accused in murder cases, 42 had been booked in two or more criminal cases, while 12 had criminal histories spanning at least 10 cases. Similarly, 155 of the 284 accused in dacoity and robbery cases had multiple criminal cases against them, including 31 who had been booked in 10 or more cases. These criminals won't get a free pass. Stringent legal action will be taken against them.

Misleading information is circulating on social media claiming that the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, has been granted detention powers under the National Security Act (NSA) specifically to suppress the ongoing CJP protests.
In this regard, it is officially clarified that the order in question is a routine, quarterly extension of powers under the NSA, which is conventionally renewed every three months. The current renewal was issued on 07.07.2026 for the period effective from 19.07.2026 to 18.10.2026, predating the commencement of the CJP protests.
Furthermore, no specific request was initiated for this order in relation to recent events. The renewal constitutes a standard administrative procedure and has been misinterpreted out of context.
