Steph Curry says 105 is the most threes he's ever made in a row
“I do a game after practice where you shoot five spots around the arc. You start in the corner. The first two are free. If you make them, great. If you miss them, it doesn't matter”
“But after the third one, you shoot until you miss in that spot. I try to get to 50 around all five spots. But this particular day, I got to 105 in the first spot. I think I ended up with 140 something in the drill”
“So I guess every day, in some way, I have an opportunity to chase it, but I haven't gotten close since. Maybe 60 since then”
“I'm thinking 50. That's my goal. If I don't get to 50 over five spots, then I got to start over and do it again. At 40, I'm like, ‘I just got to stay locked in’”
“I want to say it was like 10 minutes or so. It's like therapy. It's like meditation. But I got mad at 105. When you miss, your expectations change a little bit”
This deleted Rocky IV (1985) funeral scene for Apollo Creed is considered by many fans to be far more emotional than the theatrical version. Sylvester Stallone cut it from the final film because he wanted a faster, more high energy pace instead of slower character moments.
Your athlete doesn’t need your stress—they need your steady.
Because in the chaos of the game, the stability they borrow from you becomes their edge.
Steady parents raise athletes who can thrive under pressure. 💪⚡

I think the real reason so many parents get upset when good coaches and educators hold their kids accountable is because they correctly recognize it as an accurate indictment on their parenting. I said what I said.
You either like this game or love this game. You got to be able to fight. When things get hard you either quit or keep going. The standard does not change. Pound the stone!
Youth coaches, take note of Tennessee. Stand on business. No one is so good that you allow them to ruin culture, or make things terrible for other kids. High standards are necessary.
If your defender is in weakside help and your teammate beats their defender on the dribble and you don't cut or relocate..then you should never complain about not getting shots......it's the truth and almost no one is teaching it.
Folks who won't be surprised by the cuts at HS tryouts...1) The Coaches who have watched these kids all offseason 2) The Players who know who has put in the work and played well...Those who will be surprised 1) Parents who don't know any of the above.
