Cigna uses an automated system that allows “medical directors” (doctors employed by @Cigna) to deny a claim in 1.2 seconds without opening the patient’s file.
Please read this, share it, and help us (metaphorically) burn these companies to the ground.
@MayoClinic Thank you for refusing to allow rural primary MDs within your referral area to collaborate with specialists to facilitate the best care possible for patients. You and all MDs that work for you should be ashamed! #businessnothealthcare
I think health insurance companies come up with all these names to obscure the fact that they own US healthcare. Optum is owned by United, CVS is Aetna, express scripts is Cigna. They are all vertically integrating & gouging patients/independent pharmacies for insane profits.
@PerformRx_ congrats on becoming the worst PBM of the year. Rejecting a $200 drug in favor of transporting a handicapped patient to the hospital for IV outpatient infusions for 7 Days makes perfect sense. And no, women and men do not have different kidneys, ureters, or bladders.
@ExpressScripts I am so glad that PBMs are here to save patients money. What would we do without you increasing drug costs by forcing people to purchase brand when generic is available?
Stark draftee Sean Mathiawetz shining right now as he has only allowed two hits and walked two to help maintain a 3-0 lead for the Indians with 7 innings in the book
A new study of elite youth baseball players found what it described as a significant association between extensively playing videogames and elbow or shoulder pain. https://t.co/ndgMK5Pws4
Not surprising.... Cigna is rapidly joining Humana in their quest to become the least ethical health insurance company in the country. Great work given the stiff competition! https://t.co/gEBxIuGq9k
Dear Colleagues:
Please join me in shaming @Cigna for their denial of a heart cath to a pt w severe AS, mild MS, heart failure, & constrictive pericarditis who has multiple CV/CAD risk factors & previously known high Cor Ca score who is preop for AVR & pericardial stripping.
@Cignaquestions Denying inpatient admit for a ped with a newly diagnosed life-changing/life-threatening condition is appalling. Deserves public shaming.
