Excited to be featured on this Neuro Pathways Podcast episode discussing diagnosis and intervention of idiopathic scoliosis! #scoliosis#spinesurgery @CleClinicNS @ClevelandClinic https://t.co/TPWyW4JOzT
I did a one year post-op questionnaire for @docclift's clinic. Look how much better my health scores are compared to before my surgery! I'm almost at the average normal people score! I'm pretty excited about this. I never approach normal in anything.
Fused kyphoscoliosis is a debilitating condition that affects not only the spine, but cardiovascular and visceral function as well. An individualized approach for alignment goals during surgery provides a path for patients to regain function and live a full and active life. #scoliosis #kyphosis #MedX #patientcare #spinesurgery #neurosurgery #orthospine
Fused spondyloptosis is a debilitating form of lumbopelvic deformity. It is paramount during correction to regain physiologic alignment parameters for longevity of the construct and to prevent adjacent segment disease, especially in young patients

Posted with patient permission! As a spinal deformity surgeon with expertise in connective tissue and neuromuscular disorders, it’s important to remember that DYNAMIC imaging is paramount to diagnosis! I love seeing my patients several years postop with improvement in their quality of life, especially after years of misdiagnosis. One of many reasons why I love working at the Cleveland Clinic! @ClevelandClinic #myelopathy #scoliosis #EDS #patientcare #MedX #MedTwitter
Had a great time learning about the philosophy and latest advances in spine oncology from the experts, including @DrLilyAngelov, Dr. Clifton @docclift, Dr. Krishnaney, Dr. Bilsky, Dr. Chhabra, and many more! 🩻🔩☢️
@BaiardoMartina@DGlaucomflecken 100% agree. However, propagating a culture of “numbers” for applicants is degrading the importance of real scientific research.
As an academic neurosurgeon with over 1000 citations, I believe that we as a neurosurgical community need to focus on applicants who have a passion for patient care, not publications. Clinical acumen comes first, then research. Both are important, but only one is vital for a successful career #MedTwitter #neurosurgery #match #PatientCare
Had an amazing year leading the @ClevelandClinic Spine Health Outcomes Research Lab under Dr. Thomas Mroz, @spinemetz & our incredible team. We had 54 papers published, 50+ abstracts accepted & many first-time authors. Grateful to my mentors & team!
