A GP has lodged an official complaint against the UK health and social care secretary, Wes Streeting, over his language when describing the BMA during the ongoing dispute between the government and the union

Before you ask! 🫣😆
This does not change our plans for GP action.
It means messaging, tighter.
Aims, clearer.
Manifesto, sooner.
Practices are making decisions to close now. We have a fantastic surgery on my patch. Patient care is suffering now.
On we go. 🙏

@UMAPsUK And whilst we’re on the topic there’s no mention that the original undergraduate degree may only be of tenuous relevance to clinical practice … yet you’re comparing it as equivalent to the first 3 years of a medical degree, which is you know; medical! So there’s that too 🤷♀️
@UMAPsUK And come to think of it a little vague on what’s required for post certification qualification which is shown as equivalent to 3 years Registrar training
It’s good to know where GP partners stand with ministers. The lack of support and lack of understanding is astounding. Where dentistry is today is where GP will be in 5 years unless things change. I did not want to stop being a GP partner, the system allowed no other choice
Very exciting - @ZainKhanMed and I have been attempting to represent for doctors in the NE without a third NE rep, since @doctorgreaves sadly stood down (hopefully to return in the future).
You get the reps you elect. Please use your vote for another pro-doctor rep.
From today, @theBMA members in North East↗️ and West Midlands⬅️ will get voting papers for a representative on UK Council, the national executive committee of our union.
Anti trade union laws make us do this by post.
There are good candidates - make sure you vote! 📮
This is a disaster!

Yesterday's @Telegraph article from @lauradonnlee shows the dismal decline of GP practices in England since 2016.
Government is leaving patients without GPs, and continuity of care is being left at the wayside.
Patients want the return of the family doctor. We must #RebuildGP.
OK, @SteveBarclay
“NHS Week” is over, but how about achieving something?
There is no excuse for not bringing in professional regulation for NHS managers.
How about it?
Please retweet if you support professional accountability for NHS managers.
