.@samlansky has such a wondrous way with words, and I’ve loved reading his pieces for over a decade. If you’ve ever been around him, you know he’s just the best type of person: Curious. Interested. Hilarious. Intriguing and intrigued. I have tRuSt iSSueS when it comes to interviews but I couldn’t be happier that I did this one with him. I was blown away to see quotes from people I adore and admire like Stevie Nicks, Greta Gerwig, Shonda Rhimes, Phoebe Bridgers, Natalie Maines, Kenny Chesney, and Lucian Grainge. I was so happy he spoke to fans Madison and McCall who were so eloquent, loyal, and kind. I’m really reflecting on this year, and all the years that led up to it. Can’t say thank you enough times. 🥲

At Texas Hearing Institute, we believe that building a strong foundation and habits can protect your child's hearing. The CDC estimates 12.5% of children and adolescents aged 6-19 years have suffered permanent damage to their hearing from excessive noise exposure. To best protect your child’s hearing and “build a strong foundation” for healthy hearing habits later in life, consider investing in hearing protection for your child. 🎧

Welcome to New Jersey. We’ve been waiting for you, @taylorswift13.
In honor of Taylor Swift bringing The Eras Tour to @MetLifeStadium, I am declaring the Taylor Swift Ham, Egg, and Cheese the official state sandwich.
It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing… and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th. Pre-order now at https://t.co/m3KNl71qrY 💜💜💜
I am hopeful that this bill will pass soon. CMV is the leading cause of non-genetic childhood hearing loss and screening for CMV at birth would help us identify these patients earlier to provide them with better support. #audpeeps#audiology
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to travel to the Texas State Capitol to speak with the Senate about SB 1285, which would enact screening for congenital CMV in Texas. It was a privilege to represent TAA and serve as a voice for my patients and my profession on the Senate floor.
I had the best time at AAA 2023 in Seattle last week! AAA is one of my favorite weeks - the #audiology community is small and it is truly a joy to get to reconnect with so many friends, and especially to talk with students during the new professionals panel! #AAAConf23
This week, I made my first trip out to the Texas state capitol to talk with our state legislators about #audiology I am so grateful for my opportunity to discuss issues that are important to me and my patients as an audiologist in the state of Texas! #audpeeps#advocacy

Today is International Cochlear Implant Day! 🦻Last year, Texas Hearing Institute saw 29 patients for their initial cochlear implant activation and activated a total of 45 ears.
Cochlear implants are devices that allow individuals to hear speech and environmental sounds when hearing aids are unable to provide enough power to hear all the sounds of speech. After using EPIC for years I now put *** on documents and notes when I need to signal to myself or others that something isn't complete or needs to be inserted.
I can't be the only one, right? I am sure there is a term for this.
@ayedfy Yup! Fluctuating a bit. B on Monday, C yesterday. I wasn't in the office today but planning to run tymps and have someone check my hearing again tomorrow if still not clear.
I've been experiencing constant aural fullness, muffled hearing, and constant tinnitus in one of my ears since I flew back to Houston Monday and I'm about to lose my mind. Is it time to see an ENT? Any suggestions on clearing this up on my own?
