non-black writers (yes, even poc) should not be writing racially derogatory language towards black people without having any black writers on staff. doesn't mean you have to only write your lived experiences, but that room should not be limited to experiences of non-black people.

they ate each other up in a way that only 2 people who deeply know and understand each other can. knew exactly what to say that would hurt most bc they know their deepest wounds. loumand showed us both the beauty & hideousness of marriage in one season
it's very typical of abusers to focus on one little tidbit of information that they find insulting in their victim's story rather than addressing/acknowledging the harm they did to the victim and how that affected them
"it's loaded with misogynoir to say a darkskin black woman's blood inherently causes aggression" → "you don't want akasha to be evil bc she's black!!"
"an all-nonblack writers room made textually antiblack dialogue choices" → "you just don't want claudia to be mean to louis!!"
loumandaniel is like if you adopt a dog in a relationship and your partner hates dogs and their relationship starts very badly but you see your partner slowly get obsessed with the dog until he's unable to hide it and now it's just not your stinky dog but our stinky dog❤️
