@Ry_Bass This is about as good of a hire you can possibly have. I remember watching him on field at the Trop pre game, have never seen an outfielder take their throws and defensive work so seriously. And then he proceeded to gun a guy out at home later that day.
I’ll say this again. I love the Phillip Rivers story, really cool to see a true field general back out there again. But once you get eliminated it is absolutely organizational malpractice for him to start over Leonard or AR if he were to get healthy.
@nyysinatra genuinely worried now. We have no bullpen, rotation til Cole and Rodon get back is simply not very good, and a lot of question marks lineup wise
Phillip Rivers experiment was cool and he’s an extremely likeable guy but he cannot start another game. Can’t start a QB who can’t throw the ball more than 20 yards downfield
@nyysinatra@GloverDarius Yep. I think it’s organization malfunction that you manage to have that big of an outfield log jam two years in a row. And the fact that all of our LHH are terrible against LHP, except for the one guy we may not get back in Belli.
Bama and ND both should not be in. Why play the games if the results don’t matter? Let’s just pick the 12 most talented teams with the best pedigree at the start of the year and just have the playoff right away
I think the basic WAR is a great stat and it’s important to factor in defense but it still can’t be used as the end all. Can’t tell me these elite defensive guys that hit .220 were better than guys with 1500-2000 hits. Number is nothing to slouch at
I feel like the problem with the CFB committee is they sometimes so easily choose to “forget” about a loss and just chalk it up to a blip. When you play a 12 game season losses just can’t be forgotten about, that’s the beauty every game counts
@b_chambers11@Genetics56 Louisville was a crappy team when they were 16th with a top offense in the entire country? We held them to 6 points with our 3rd string QB who had 0 prep time. Would have had 3 weeks of prep with either QB. You say Tate was terrible, first ever start at UF that’s not an easy job
