@elonmusk established @DOGE to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government—reporting $215 billion in savings.
It also inspired efficiency initiatives within state & local governments and renewed a focus on fiscal responsibility, fraud prevention, and program integrity.

"It is the need to unwind the effects of four years of federal government that, alongside basic good government principles and the desire to build on Florida’s recent achievements, define the Florida DOGE effort." 🔥 Eric Soskin
Eric Soskin, director of @DOGEFla, wrote a great piece for JMI's 2025 edition of The Journal on the Florida DOGE efforts: https://t.co/sFEff309OR
.@BrowardCounty has spent almost $900,000 on DEI training since Fiscal Year 2020, including training that pushes gender fluidity and transgender ideology. Part of this training includes the “Genderbread Person,” which was used to push radical gender ideology as recently as March 2024.
@OrangeCoFL has given $223,000 to Zebra Youth for LGBT youth services that promote gender ideology to youth populations. One of Zebra Youth’s trademark events is “Pride Prom.”
Wasteful spending and misguided priorities.
The @CityofPensacola pays $150,000 per year to a management company that brings drag shows to the city-owned Saenger Theatre.
Even worse, this drag show is set to occur just one block away from "Photos with Santa" at the child-friendly Pensacola Winterfest.
Two days before Christmas, Pensacola will host a demonic, sexually explicit drag show at the city-owned Saenger Theatre.
Pensacola shouldn’t platform obscenities that denigrate its residents and expose kids to harmful content. They should cancel the event.
Florida ranks #1 in the country for higher education because we are willing to challenge the status quo. Today at @USouthFlorida, I was proud to announce that our Florida DOGE team has worked to eliminate or repurpose tens of millions of dollars in DEI-related projects at our public universities.
Whether it’s DEI-inspired grants that privilege one race or gender over another, or HR departments that hire foreign H-1B workers when qualified Floridians are rejected, we will not tolerate discrimination against American citizens in our university system.
Universities across the country are importing foreign workers on H-1B visas instead of hiring Americans who are qualified and available to do the job. We will not tolerate H-1B abuse in Florida institutions. That’s why I have directed the Florida Board of Governors to end this practice.
Florida leads the nation in higher education, and thousands of highly qualified Americans graduate from our colleges and universities every year. If any universities are truly struggling to find U.S. citizens to fill their job openings, they ought to evaluate their academic programs to determine why they cannot produce graduates who can be hired for these positions.
Thank you, Larry Keefe, for your service to Florida and your leadership of the Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement (@FLSBIE).
Illegal immigrants have burdened Florida’s taxpayers to the tune of more than $8 billion per year, including:
$1.6 billion on K-12 education
$660 million on hospital visits
$228 million on in-state tuition waivers
$123 million on Medicaid coverage
Enforcing our immigration laws saves taxpayers in the long term. Under @GovRonDeSantis, taxpayers will not foot the bill for those who break our laws and come here illegally.
Larry Keefe has been the man on the ground for Florida’s nation-leading immigration enforcement efforts. We are grateful for his service to our state and the rule of law. He has done an exceptional job across the board.
Great presentation by CFO @GovGoneWild Blaise Ingoglia on how @CityofMiami residents have been overtaxed $94 million.
“Government doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem”
Cutting wasteful spending can offset homestead property taxes.

When woke companies control the flow of information, you get censorship.
We’ve been down this road before, when Silicon Valley oligarchs banned President @realDonaldTrump.
The far-left has become #1 ENEMY of free speech.
@AnthropicAI banning @DOGEFla proves it.
This morning, the Florida DOGE Team was banned by @AnthropicAI without any warning or justification. This comes as Florida DOGE has used AI to augment our efforts to identify wasteful spending and woke DEI initiatives.
@davidsacks47 and @elonmusk are correct that Anthropic is "woke." @GovRonDeSantis has been spot on from the beginning—we can't allow woke Silicon Valley oligarchs to control the information we access.
The City of Gainesville (@GainesvilleGov) pays its Director of Equity and Inclusion $189,000 per year, following a $37,000 pay raise. The city has prioritized divisive DEI indoctrination about race and identity over essential activities that serve its taxpayers.
The City of Gainesville’s “Office of Equity” has subjected city employees to mandatory DEI workshops. In May 2024, the office targeted the Fleet Management office for one such workshop, which included training on “Identity and Power” and “Culture and Identity”—as displayed through the “Wheel of Power/Privilege” seen below.
Participants were required to make statements such as “We acknowledge that power and privilege impacts the culture in Fleet at the City, and at all organizations.”
Pensacola paid $300,000 for an equity-focused strategic plan and an equity survey for its residents. Upon further review, fewer than 1% of residents completed the survey. Despite the price tag, the City claimed it has not even used the survey results and has no plans to use the results in the future.
The @CityofPensacola pays $150,000 per year to a management company that brings drag shows to the city's Saenger Theatre. In December 2025, the Theatre is set to host "A Drag Queen Christmas" just one block away from the child-friendly Pensacola Winterfest event, which includes "Photos with Santa."
Multiple Florida venues have already been fined for promoting inappropriate content to minors through "A Drag Queen Christmas."
