Harsh Reality Of A Ghetto Kid 5 - 16yrs: Grows up in poverty, parents encouraging him to focus on school, after all "education is the key" 16 - 18yrs: Works extremely hard to pass & he does, so he can go to university. He is very happy, a degree will go a long way in transforming his & family's fortunes 22yrs: On work related learning/attachment. At this stage, he begins to realise something isn't right, he had to struggle to find attachment. And on top of that he's being paid a mere allowance (in some cases nothing) 24yrs: Finally a graduate. At this stage, he's still hopeful, starts printing & sending CVs to every company/organization, that fits with his area of study 26yrs: Still no job. At this stage, depression starts creeping in, the pressure to be a somebody in life is so immense. If one fails to properly handle it, that's when he gets consumed by drugs or alcohol 28yrs: Yes, still no job. At this stage, one throws away their certificates, starts asking for any links to any kind of job or hustle. You just want to move in your life, after all everyone around you seems to be cruising in life 29yrs: Fewer friends than you had in your early 20s. At this stage, it's not that your former friends cut you off, but you cut yourself off. Embarrased by the way your life has turned out. Can't relate with them anymore, your reality & theirs are now 2 worlds apart 30yrs: Probably working a shit job that has nothing to do with your degree or doing a hustle you don't even like, but hey you just want money in your pockets. To imagine all those years in varsity & you've been reduced to this 32yrs: The pressure to marry from the girlfriend, parents & society. The girlfriend, you've probably been dating her for a long long time, you can't blame her for pressuring you, women have a biological clock. Even if she's to dump you & marry another man, you'd understand, you're just not moving fast enough in life 34yrs: Now just another average person whose dreams got crushed by the harsh cruel society of ours. Feel betrayed by everyone & everything - yourself, your parents, the politicians etc. You laugh & get angry everytime you see, little kids in their uniforms going to school, falling for the same bs they gave you But hey, this doesn't have to be your reality, never let life defeat you, continue to dream, there's no deadline to success. Appreciate where you are & those little wins. Appreciate every lesson, that life will throw at you & never throw in the towel. Life is hard, just gotta be harder. Learn OR perish!!!
