@BBCDerby A full gritter lorry came along Lord Haddon Road twice the evening before, both times no grit salt being spread on the road surface. Vehicles were getting stuck on the hill from 2:30am. First gritter spreading grit not until 11:45am. Bus company brought in its own grit.

Lasts night ball lightning show between Ilkeston #ilkeston #derbyshire and #NOTTINGHAMSHIRE at 11:22pm was weird followed by power cuts #lightning #StormGerrit but nothing on the Tornado in Manchester. Talk about raining balls of fire.
