@Sai_Ishaya_ You gotta be inherently retarded. There is NOTHING China has done that the United States or the entire west hasn’t done 100x worse. Hollywood and media propaganda has rotten many of you people’s brains. And of course the fight for US Visa which you’d never get habibi lol
Mallam, Abraham was not polygamous. He had a child outside wedlock and that single action caused so much in his house that he had to send that one away with his mother.
Saying Isaac was polygamous shows me that you know nothing of the scriptures because he only married...
...Rebecca. Jacob did 14 years to have his intended bride and ended up with two sisters. The fallout of that union makes up several chapters of Genesis. If you still think that the scriptures endorses polygamy, I have nothing else to say.
This conversation about Nigerians not loving football as much as we claim can be translated to Nigeria as a whole.
The truth is, we don’t love this country as much as we claim to. We only love the idea of being Nigerians.
Anything you genuinely love, you fight for, make sacrifices for and labour to see it succeed. But look at how we treat this country.
If we truly valued education, parents wouldn’t sit comfortably and watch public primary and secondary schools deteriorate to their current state. We would be demanding accountability from our local government chairmen and shutting down activities until something changed.
Instead, the few who have access to these chairmen are often more interested in collecting money for beer and pepper soup, then hailing them as “My Honourable” while the schools their children attend continue to fall apart.
Vice Chancellors and other university administrators will mismanage or embezzle funds meant to develop their institutions, while sending their own children to expensive private schools or universities abroad. Yet, these same people will stand before students and preach patriotism.
Directors in government ministries will assume office with no genuine interest in improving the institutions they’re appointed to manage. Their priorities are completing personal houses, buying new cars and accumulating wealth. The ministry can collapse for all they care.
Look at our transport unions. NURTW officials collect millions in tickets and levies from commercial drivers, yet how much of that money goes towards improving transport infrastructure or maintaining the roads these drivers use? Instead, we see lavish lifestyles, expensive cars, properties and personal enrichment. We should be asking serious questions about where that money goes and what portion ought to be public revenue.
Even in private businesses, ask the average Nigerian employer about their experience with employees. You’ll hear countless stories of theft, dishonesty, deliberate sabotage and people looking for opportunities to cheat the same businesses that provide their livelihoods.
Then there’s the issue of education and migration.
A country will subsidise your education from primary school through university, using public resources to train you, and the moment you graduate, your only ambition is to leave and contribute your knowledge and productivity to another country’s development.
I’m not saying people shouldn’t seek better opportunities abroad, especially when the system has failed them. But we must also acknowledge what happens when a country continually invests in human capital and loses much of its productive talent without creating conditions for them to stay or return.
And the politicians? Let’s not even go there.
The painful part is that these aren’t just problems created by politicians. These are the attitudes and behaviours of ordinary Nigerians we encounter every day.
We complain about corruption until we’re the ones with an opportunity to benefit from it. We demand accountability from public officials but rarely demand the same from ourselves, our friends or our relatives.
We claim to love Nigeria, but how many of us are willing to sacrifice our comfort, challenge wrongdoing or put the collective interest above personal gain?
Patriotism cannot end with singing the national anthem, supporting the Super Eagles or arguing with foreigners on social media.
Love is demonstrated through responsibility, sacrifice and action. Until we’re ready to do those things, perhaps we should admit that we love what Nigeria could offer us more than we’re willing to work for what Nigeria could become.
I agree with you. I started watching Abattoir in '22, and the nightmare scene in that first episode surprised me.
However, it is Kingdom Business, so the chances of this happening are zero.
You are a hammer that sees everything as a nail, and that's a shame.
If you know the guy you're responding to, you won't write such an unwarranted response, but my hunch tells me that you don't give a squat.
Despite the amount of money mid-table teams like Norwich spend every season, they still managed to concede 5 goals to Man City. 😭😭
The state of this league is fucking awful, bro.
There should be way more genuine upsets like we see in the other top 5 leagues. 😂
Remember Klopp's first season at Liverpool?
Liverpool finished eighth in the Premier League, and they lost both the League Cup and Europa League finals .Yet that season is now viewed as the beginning of something special because Klopp had started to build an identity and restore belief.
Iraola deserves the same perspective,A new manager needs time to implement a different style, establish his standards and get the squad fully comfortable with his ideas.
@JamesMinghella Didn’t Timber do exactly the same thing against Tottenham a couple years ago and everyone was screaming for a red card including the obsessed Liverpool fans 😂
@0xkitng@lifeofdanel Wdym “nobody is being arrested for a post”. I get the OP is misleading, does not mean you should mislead us further. People get arrested for harmless posts in present day nigeria
