Hey @ONS 👋, don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are a lot of people moving to Bluesky. It would be really helpful if you could start posting over there so the community can also benefit from your insights and data. See you there soon!
@UKHSA When are you going to acknowledge the growing body of research showing that Covid infections cause lasting damage to our immune systems, leaving us more susceptible to other diseases like whooping cough, RSV etc.

Elon Musk shared a completely fake Daily Telegraph headline posted by Britain First's co-leader about "detainment camps on the Falkland Islands" for UK rioters to his 193 million followers and then deleted it without any explanation.
Just Elon Musk quote tweeting the co-leader of far-right party, Britain First, who is sharing a fake Telegraph headline
Seen by almost 1 million people in 15 minutes
Utterly dystopian
Elon Musk reposted a screenshot of a fake Telegraph article (posted by the co-leader of Britain First), to his 193 million followers stating that Keir Starmer is considering setting up detainment camps.
That’s not free speech, it’s being an irresponsible knee-jerking knobhead.
Elon Musk has apparently deleted a post sharing an article 'screenshot' purporting to be a Telegraph article headlined: "Keir Starmer considering building 'emergency detainment camps' on the Falkland Islands." The Telegraph says "no such article" has ever been published by it.
These. THESE are ordinary people with legitimate concerns.
Bristol, Liverpool, Walthamstow, Oxford, Newcastle, anti racists came out up & down the country - legends every single one of you❤️ #r4today
Walthamstow tonight.
Will you retweet @elonmusk?
You know - just to provide your 193 million followers with a rounded picture of national sentiment in the U.K.
24 years ago, almost to the day, I had to respond to riots in my then parish.
Here’s what I learned.
1. It’s consuming. More often than not it’s nonsense too. Violent civil disobedience is just wrong. But it didn’t come from nowhere - it’s just *not* from where you thought
He knows what he is doing. His algorithms are a party to incitement to violence. He is publishing Tommy Robinson’s words & pumping them to millions.
He has no protection from Section 230 in the UK. He is a publisher. And publishers have responsibilities.
This should be our Dunblane moment. Only with social media not guns.
@elonmusk is a feckless billionaire whose algorithms pose an imminent threat to life. He won’t act. So it’s critical that we now do.

It is frankly disgraceful for Goodwin to utter not a syllable on a responsibility to challenge the type of prejudices that target minorities & Muslims after a shocking [unconnected] murder
Instead he legitimises those prejudices in his silence on which concerns are illegitimate
This is so palpably ignorant.
The people who spew racist and fascist rhetoric ARE racist.
The people who march next to nazis and yell racist epitaphs earn the title they get.
Do better than placating racist rioters by pretending that “legitimate grievances”, @AliMirajUK
It's impossible to view the postings of Farage, without utter revulsion.
He masquerades as a " reasoned commentator" on what he claims to be a national crisis linked to immigrants while claiming he deplores any lawlessness. Then he hints at more lawlessness if his warnings are not heeded.
The reality is that his entire political future is dependent on fomenting confrontation and division. It is by creating a climate of crisis that he has got where he has.
And some of my former Conservative colleagues have argued the Conservatives should be linking up with Reform! Perhaps this shameful episode will open their eyes to his malevolence.
