Great write up.
I felt the same way about the stainless until I wrapped mine and it was surprisingly easy. The pre-cut kits are only about $800 and it only took me about 12 hours with no previous experience.
I would like to see Tesla come up with a cost-effective way to get these things wrapped. Many people are too afraid to do it but shop rates are insane. There’s gotta be an easier way.
@nikkharris My cybertruck tried to do this last week. Luckily I intervened right in time. Same situation tho…right at the beginning of the drive at home.
@SawyerMerritt@LimitingThe They have something like this now for the cyber truck, but it’s kind of unnecessary in the cyber truck because it’s only the backseat passengers to get baked by the glass roof
@TXCyberDad The new FSD on cybertruck is now better than our legacy model 3’s. So for us the choice is usually pretty easy. But our X has lifetime free charging. So for long trips we almost always take that!
@DoctorJack16 I put auto steps on mine. It lets you not use entry height when you’re out parked in public, so it looks like an actual truck! That’s my favorite mod. We will see how the tires like it!
@DoctorJack16@Tesla_Borg Ouch. Haha. I really am hoping for better than that.
But every time I give a test ride people do wanna feel that acceleration! Oh well. It’s only money
How many miles did you get out of your stock tires? I had the stock AT on mine and the shop couldn’t balance them. They were a mess inside, and only lasted 15k miles. I should’ve had Tesla warranty and replace them. But I didn’t want the same garbage tires. So I just bought nittos
