Your math isnt mathing. A family gets roughly 7$ per person per day for food. A family will get the whole month covered at once and might do all/most their shopping right then. You pay 1.40 approx *per paycheck* towards snap. You are not broke because of a family having food. You remind me of my dad who blames all the wrong people for his suffering. And he suffers today from it. It is your boss who does not pay you enough. The 1.40$ out of your check is not why you can only afford bread and milk. I am telling you this so you can go right up to your boss and fix it rather than becoming a hateful, angry person. The reason for this is because of the economic system we have. Not because of immigrants, poc, or social programs. You actually spend approx 500$ more per year for others things than social programs like war and corporate subsidies.
