The West Coast on fire.
Haiku inspired by record heat in Washington state (where I live) and Oregon (south across the Columbia River). Today June 27 at 111° F./44° C. HOT! - ("A heat wave for the ages" (quoting writer Rob't Macfarlane).

As a writer/editor, I, too, agree with Benjamin Dreyer's advice... and note that his book, 'Dreyer's English: 'An Utterly Correct Guide to Clarity and Style', is full of much more good advice. One of my best (and fun) recent reads!
@GuerillaMemoir As early as a pre-teen I wanted to be an anthropologist. I was and I am, and have had a great life of it, mostly in the Himalayas. I now write stories about my high adventures.
