This was a great article. Another factor I think could be contributing is a perceived lack of duty to America. We’ve grown up in an era with a lot of demand for reform, and our generation hasn’t seen war to the extent of prior gens. TLDR; Gen Z doesn’t feel like they owe America

I paid off my student loans this year, and I’m still so grateful that this policy is being put forward. This might not be as much relief as the caucus wanted, but it will still help a LOT of people.
In keeping with my campaign promise, my Administration is announcing a plan to give working and middle class families breathing room as they prepare to resume federal student loan payments in January 2023.
