@RosemaryFreiTO@jonkay@nationalpost I just wonder about that phrasing. "the trans issue". "the black issue", "the muslim issue", "the jewish issue". It belies that there is an issue with the people, rather than highlighting the issues they face.
@bmorrissey As a high school science teacher, this is exactly how I might introduce vaccines to a group of 13-14 year olds. Before, of course, going deeper into how immune systems work.
@JenniferBaron7 @LakeheadOrillia@LakesidePS Great to see TCs learning on the ground. Being a TC (or an AT for that matter) right now must be really hard! Are all faculties still sending out TCs?
@jonkay This is a bad take. Is it really too much effort to keep more than one group of people in mind at once? It's one thing to constructively critique efforts to be more inclusive, but its another to ridicule efforts to become more inclusive.
We shouldn’t read “the classics” in high school. People hate reading because they’ve been trained to associate it with misery. You can learn life lessons or symbolism or whatever from more interesting, relevant, and modern books. Including graphic novels.
@united__UK@POTUS I love it when people tweet @ me, this random socialist canadian, instead of the American president. It feels like the universe is attempting to rebalance itself.
