@Bullishtrade47 I am talking here abt the likes of JPM, Barclays, Wolfe Research. UBS covers MOD but they are not super sharp on them. And given the 1) pureplay DC cooling story 2) multiple at or below peers average w/o crappy resi/light commercial hvac expo, I assume they will initiate w BUY
@Bullishtrade47 Couldn't agree more. And don't forget that MOD isn't particularly well covered by tier 1 analysts. I'd assume more guys that cover Carrier, Trane, Lennox, JCI, Vertiv (!) will pick up the name once the split is finished
Time to put $MOD on everyone’s map
This is the new stock I just bought
They sell chillers & liquid cooling systems to data centers. Similar exposure to $VRT, but much more specialized
Data center sales are growing 90%+ YoY.
Here’s the interesting part
$MOD used to be an auto supplier and traded at a low multiple
Basically a shitty business with a shitty multiple
Then data centers came around
They developed cooling technology for data centers, and that business has been absolutely taking off. Data center sales grew 158% YoY in Q4 FY26
Now they’re spinning off the remaining Performance Technologies business, leaving $MOD focused on thermal management businesses including data center cooling
The spin is expected to happen October 1st
After the spin, Modine plans to become Modexus Solutions, subject to shareholder approval, while continuing to trade under $MOD
And there’s already a $4B+ long-term capacity agreement with a major data center customer through 2029
The market is still valuing this like the old Modine
I think that changes pretty quickly once the spin is complete
I think $MOD has a real shot at doubling over the next few months
@DiligentPlane They are also still shipping their chillers from Europe (!) to the US as customers are taking them even w s232 tariffs. So this means that they are really competitive in terms of quality/price
@DiligentPlane Thats amazing, good work. I've met with them last year on the HVAC event AHR expo Vegas.. the management team is sound, and their IR Kathy is amazing. CFO is also good with managing expectations into the earnings (basically always leaving the room for a beat)
@babyfolio I think the combination of $MOD and $FPS is a bit more interesting than $VRT. More specifically if you compare it on fwd P/E basis and the ask industry players on the quality/capability of products. Not saying VRT is bad by any means but i think R/R is better on those two
@DiligentPlane VRT is good. But if you are looking specifically into the cooling i'd suggest looking into MOD as well. It seems that their chillers are somewhat better than VRT.
@aleabitoreddit $NVT - Agree. Good oppty on liquid cooling as well as power.
$MOD - their chillers are top notch I heard. I've met Neil at the AHR expo in Vegas as well as their whole team. They have the product as well as good mgmt to deliver on it
@aleabitoreddit $AAON - after the CEO change, its quite poorly ran. They always talk aboutbthe supply chain issues (when others don't). They have a great product but I am not confidet w the management. At these levels attractive.
$JCI - new CEO is good but their DCs expo is like 15% of revenue
@TheEquityHub@OInvests Agree on $MOD. VRT is also good but I'd say expensive. Re FPS - ETN and NVT are also good choices, w NVT having exposure to liquid colling through their CDUs
