@jodyssanders@SupremeCourt_TX Plainly, the drafters wanted to make us race in complex cross-appeals. The first race/game of chicken is to see if someone files a notice of election. If so, the other party must persuade the clerk to file the record they need before the other "files an appendix" to prohibit it.
Texas Debate regrets the passing of Brian McBride. He was a stalwart of Texas Debate and the UTNIF. Our program is forever indebted to his legacy. He revolutionized argument style in our activity and taught a generation of students how to think critically.

Kathy Carrick was formerly the law library director and a member of the faculty at @CWRU_Law before she retired to Florida. When I was a brand-new faculty member, she was very welcoming and kind. She will be missed.
@chris_kratovil@mkelly007 Wikipedia says Aurora, Colorado. Which brings to exactly one (1) the number of people trying to move from Colorado to Texas in August.

Always check your cites! This is why I have a standing order on the use of A.I. in the 394th District Court. The underlying appellate brief contains fabricated and nonexistent citations. Pay special attention to Footnote 2 citing @therealjohnbrow! (full opinion linked below)
@ryanclinton Yes, that is indeed pretty cryptic! The context is that Threads has announced plans to integrate with some other social networks (including Mastodon). I'm on Mastodon.
So if Threads actually does this (I'm skeptical?), I'll be able to follow your posts from my Mastodon account.
@emilymiskel @farris_april I like to use a local lab here in Austin (Holland Photo) for color film. https://t.co/zEHWzsljsk They are set up to handle mail-in orders, and if you call during the week, should be happy to answer your questions.
@AnnMLipton @chancery_daily @RMFifthCircuit@edswaine A related honest question is if this malpractice claim is really owned by X? Some states restrict assignment of fiduciary/malpractice claims. It’s not just another asset to sell. And fwiw, one of the classic policy concerns is worry these could be sold to a litigation adversary.
One more thing I adored in THE BEAR is the way it quietly reinforces, over and over, that what we think of as “skills” and “talents” are actually things someone else has taken time to teach us.
