Sorry, Ana, but as a Lebanese, I agree with @benshapiro on this one.

You went on a long TV rant pretending you understand South Lebanon better than the Lebanese who actually lived through it.

Yet you conveniently omitted who started this war, who repeatedly violated UN Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701, who rejected the Lebanese Army from defending the South, and who has now lost hundreds of square kilometres of territory to the IDF.

Hezbollah refused to disarm, refused to let the Lebanese State exercise its sovereignty, and refused to implement the very UN resolutions that were meant to spare Lebanon another war. Now they blame the Army and the Government for seeking peace after 50 years of unwanted wars.

But do you really care about Lebanon? It certainly doesn't look like it. You never seem interested in holding Hezbollah accountable for dragging my country into another devastating conflict. Your outrage always seems to flow in only one direction.

Being loud on TV doesn't make you an expert. It just makes you another activist pretending to speak for a country you clearly don't understand.

@jakeshieldsajj They pay 3.1 to 5% out of their paychecks to pay for their healthcare. Most have to purchase additional coverage also out-of-pocket to cover what the base system does not. While better than Canada, there can be fewer choices and longer waits. Nothing is free.
