My father never borrowed money to sustain Nigeria.”
“There was a sustained media campaign by the West against my late father because he was one of the few leaders bold enough to resist their manipulative pressures.
Nigeria was blacklisted during that period, with access to several international opportunities restricted in an attempt to force him into submission.
Yet, despite the challenges, he reduced Nigeria’s external debt from about $36 billion to $27 billion and increased the country’s foreign reserves from roughly $494 million to $9.6 billion.
Western-style democracy may have worked for them, but my father believed Nigeria needed a tougher, more decisive approach — similar to the style of Jerry Rawlings in Ghana — because a soft approach would not have delivered results here.”
— Zainab Abacha, daughter of Nigeria’s late Head of State, General Sani Abacha.
Peter Obi: Tinubu went to Rwanda with his supporters while Trump went to China with businessmen
BKO: Tinubu went to Rwanda with Aliko Dangote, Rabiu Ibrahim, Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia and others. Peter Obi needs to be talked to, he shows his acute lack kf knowledge in many areas when je talks
Peter Obi has criticized the present govt for spending heavily on SUVs for lawmakers, and a lot of people have cvrsed out Wike for building houses for the judiciary. But let's go back in time shall we?
The same Obi who called out the govt reportedly purchased over 400 SUVs for traditional rulers during his time as a governor, oh, and with state funds obviously. Obi also got over 110 vehicles for Local Govts. He also gave out over 21 Honda Accord cars to judges in and 58 vehicles to magistrates; And that's not all. Houses were equally built for judges that cost close to N250m at that time.
Now how do you criticize Wike for building houses for judges, then clap for Obi who did the same? That's hypocrisy at its peak.
Note that the cars also distributed to the judges were reportedly Toyota sedans and Nissan SUVs. Obi equally distributed over 31 Peugeot 406 cars to House of Assembly members.
In his time his government distributed Ford, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Peugeot. Now he's talking about supporting local production. OK.
Saleh Mamman stole ₦33.8 billion meant to build the #MambillaDam.
The dam that would have given Northern Nigeria 3,050 megawatts.
He was a Buhari man. From Taraba — the same state where Mambilla sits.
Appointed to fix #Arewa's power crisis.
He looted it instead.
Sentenced 75 years. In absentia. He's gone.
Which, in our #Nigeria, means -
"We have sentenced his shadow. We have imprisoned his ghost. But his body is at large and his money remains abroad."
The judge said: "Little wonder Nigerians have remained in darkness till today."
But the darkness in the North is not an accident.
It is not a resource curse.
It is not fate.
It is a policy.
Built by people who look like us.
Speak like us.
Pray like us.
And then steal from us.
In a few years, he may decide to contest for governorship in Taraba State.

🔴Registration Of NDC Raises Concerns As ADA Seeks Legal Action Against INEC.
A wave of controversy has erupted following the registration of the Senator Dickson-led National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) raises concerns over the legitimacy of the process.
Promoters of the ADA claim that the NDC was registered through fraudulent means that bypassed the guidelines established by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
During appearances on Arise News Morning Show and Trust TV, Dr Umar Ardo, a key figure in the ADA, criticised INEC for allegedly deviating from its procedures by registering a political party that he claims did not go through the official screening process.
Ardo revealed that initially, 171 political associations expressed interest in registration, but only 14 were shortlisted by INEC.
On September 15, 2025, INEC published the list of 14 associations that advanced to the next stage, which involves verification of their offices nationwide.
Of the 14 groups, only eight proceeded to the verification stage on INEC’s portal. Ardo asserted that the ADA adhered to all requirements and actively participated in the process, but was denied registration.
He said: “It is shocking that a political association that did not submit an application, was not shortlisted among the 14, and did not make the final eight, suddenly appeared with a registration certificate.”
Ardo rejected INEC’s explanation that the NDC was registered on the basis of a court order, describing the claim as untenable. He argued that the due process of law would require proper filings and INEC’s participation in court proceedings.
“For a court to give such an order, there must have been submissions, and INEC must have been served and represented. We intend to obtain Certified True Copies of the court processes from the Federal High Court in Lokoja to understand what transpired,” he added.
In contrast, he alleged that the NDC was absent throughout the stages. He expressed disbelief that a political association that did not apply, was not shortlisted, and did not make the final cut, suddenly obtained a registration certificate.
Ardo contested INEC’s explanation that the NDC was registered pursuant to a court order, arguing that proper judicial procedures would require INEC’s participation in court proceedings.

🇳🇬 NIGERIAN ARMY RANKS AND THEIR DUTIES (SUMMARIZED)
The Nigerian Army is structured into different ranks, each with specific responsibilities. From the lowest recruit to the highest level of command, every rank plays an important role in maintaining discipline, security, and national defense.
🔰 NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS (NCOs) & SOLDIERS
A Recruit is a new entrant undergoing training. At this stage, they learn discipline, drills, weapon handling, and the basics of military life.
A Private Soldier (Pte) is the lowest full rank after training. They carry out orders, participate in operations, guard duties, and patrol missions.
A Lance Corporal (LCpl) is a junior leader who assists in supervising small groups of soldiers and ensures tasks are properly executed.
A Corporal (Cpl) leads a small team, often called a section. They are responsible for maintaining discipline and ensuring orders are followed.
A Sergeant (Sgt) is a key field leader who manages soldiers directly, oversees training, and ensures operational effectiveness.
A Staff Sergeant (SSgt) is a senior non-commissioned officer who supervises larger groups of soldiers and assists officers in operations and administration.
A Warrant Officer (WO) is highly experienced and plays a major role in discipline, training, and advising officers.
A Master Warrant Officer (MWO) is a senior expert responsible for mentoring soldiers and overseeing field operations.
An Army Warrant Officer (AWO) is among the highest-ranking non-commissioned officers, acting as a bridge between officers and soldiers.
🎖️ COMMISSIONED OFFICERS
A Second Lieutenant (2Lt) is the entry-level officer who leads a small unit, usually a platoon.
A Lieutenant (Lt) assists in command and leads soldiers during missions and operations.
A Captain (Capt) commands a company and is responsible for both operations and administration.
A Major (Maj) is a mid-level officer involved in planning missions and supervising junior officers.
A Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) commands a battalion and oversees large-scale operations.
A Colonel (Col) is a senior officer responsible for managing major units or regiments.
⭐ GENERAL OFFICERS
A Brigadier General (Brig Gen) commands a brigade and coordinates multiple units.
A Major General (Maj Gen) commands a division and oversees large military operations.
A Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) handles high-level command responsibilities and oversees corps-level operations.
⚠️ NOTE: Presently, the Nigerian Army have a SINGLE serving full General, who usually is appointed by the President and serve as the CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF (CDS) which makes him the highest- ranking officer. The second highest-ranking officer is a Lieutenant General, who serves as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) also appointed by the President.
Conclusively, From recruits to top commanders, every rank in the Nigerian Army has a clear duty. While soldiers and NCOs carry out operations on the ground, officers lead and manage troops, and senior commanders handle strategy and national defence.
They're more but this is just a summary.

Nigerians, please judge this case between consensus and direct primaries in the ADC.
Atiku demanded a consensus arrangement, but Obi said no—he doesn’t believe in that and influenced others to reject it.
Atiku later called for direct primaries, and again Obi said no, claiming he doesn’t have enough members to compete with others.
Peter Obi want a free ticket, where he would be picked, and secondly be allowed to handpick Kwankwaso as his VP candidate.
The ADC has certain rules and regulations. There’s no way you would be handed a free ticket and still be allowed to choose a VP by yourself—it’s not POssible.
"I want to welcome you to the party that doesn’t know what is called status quo ante bellum.”
- Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson said as he welcomed Peter Obi and Kwankwaso to the NDC
Sen. Tanko Al-makure has a right to his opinion, but he has no right on other things he doesn’t know, even if he gave birth to me. If I decide to go and brief President Tinubu with a prepared candidate, and I didn't carry Sen. Almakure along, that is not his right.
- Gov. Sule of Nasarawa on issues with his predecessor, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, regarding his choice of Senator Wadada as his successor.
JOSHUA OCHEJA: "@atiku, @PeterObi and Kwankwaso are very religious, but they are not miracle workers. If they were, the political outcome of the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections would have been different. I can only imagine Obasanjo’s game plan with how things stand politically. He is bent on stopping Tinubu and Atiku. But the race for the presidency of Nigeria is not a popularity contest. It is a game akin to Russian Roulette. The gamble is not about who the odds favour, but the reality that a single miscalculation in “timing or alignment” can end a career. When you pull the trigger, you miss or hit the target. Atiku and Obi have missed the target after pulling the trigger. Tinubu’s first pull of the trigger hit the target. Russian Roulette is a game of winner takes all. Obi has decamped from the ADC because it’s obvious, he won’t get the ticket. And as usual, it came with the sort of emotional speech that led to the birth of the Obiedients in 2022. He left the PDP for LP when it was obvious he was not getting the ticket. Obi’s electoral value has dwindled since 2023. He could not manage the fame that came with his first and impressive political outing. It became about him and not the platform that he used. The platform was enmeshed in crisis, but it was not his business and he left, as usual."
