“God providentially ordered the birth of this nation and lavished His grace on us in ways that most nations in the history of nations could not conceive.”
A few thoughts on the Semiquincentennial.

Fellow pastor, Graham Gunden, received the proclamation declaring June to be "Faith, Family, & Responsible Fatherhood" month in Lee County, FL. Thank you, Lee Co. Commissioners! Listen to the proclamation & to Graham's excellent speech.
On March 24, 2026, the Board of Directors of Founders Ministries named Dr. Thomas K. Ascol as President of Founders Seminary. Dr. Ascol is the founding Chancellor of the seminary and was named acting President of Founders Seminary on October 7, 2025, after the passing of founding President Dr. Voddie T. Baucham, Jr. (1969-2025) on September 25, 2025.
From the inception of Founders Seminary, Dr. Baucham and Dr. Ascol shared the vision of training elder-qualified men to have sharp minds, warm hearts, and steel spines.
This appointment reflects the Board of Directors’ confidence in Dr. Ascol’s commitment to continuing the mission of Founders Seminary, training men in conservative convictions, confessional commitments, and courage without compromise to stand unflinchingly firm in our evil age.

I love @donnaascol! Our early morning discussions are a gift from God.
Today’s was especially challenging—>
Wife: Help me understand the various Reformed Baptist camps.
Me:
2 years ago SBC President @pastorclint promised he would "absolutely" call for the release of the video showing the ambush of @PastorMikeStone by a woman at the 2021 SBC. I have reminded & encouraged him to keep his word many times. So far he has not.
Clint has been a definite upgrade from SBC presidents of the last 10 years & I believe him to be a man of his word. I have real appreciation for him personally & for much of what he has done in his role leading the SBC. I have urged him, prayed, & continue to hope that he will do what is right in this matter. The SBC already has enough examples of failed leadership in the SBC. We need more humble, bold, God-fearing leaders who are willing to honor God regardless of cost or consequences.
What happened to Mike Stone was wicked. Many weak men helped weaponize the false accusations against him that resulted in his barely not being elected as SBC President. Instead, we got a dishonest plagiarist, @EdLitton.
The surveillance video exists. A member of the EXCom told Mike they owe him an apology & its President, @Jeff_Iorg has confirmed to Mike personally that the video exists, but refuses to release it.
It is past time for this travesty of justice, perpetrated by failed leaders who fear men more than they fear God, to be acknowledged & repented of.
I hope that everyone who is tired of SBC leadership refusing to do what is right will demand that this video be released.
Oh man! As a 40+ year SAHM, mother of 6, grandmother of 23, Biden must think @donnaascol is as radical as they come. I wonder how many lists she is on & how high her rank is.
I was made aware that Abolition Rising has indeed risen overnight to catch up to @FoundersMin Sword & Trowel podcast. While I love photo finishes (& commitment to abolition!) this feels like a play out of the DNC playbook. So, go vote for a podcast that actually podcasts! 😎
Happy birthday, @tomascol 😍 You are my greatest earthly treasure. Thank you for demonstrating how a real Christian lives by repentance & faith, in love & forgiveness, plodding for God on this pilgrim way. I love you dearly!
NEW EPISODE: Today on the Sword & The Trowel, @tomascol and @GundenGraham welcome @megbasham to talk about the recent discovery documents that have been made public surrounding the David Sills/Jennifer Lyell case. They discuss the lessons to be learned on how to not be manipulated, personally, as churches, and as a convention, by the cultural winds in the future.
Dropping today at 4:00pm ET wherever you get your podcasts.

Many have asked how they can help the Baucham family. I have spent time with them today and Bridget is full of faith as she grieves Voddie’s death. A fund has been established to help care for their family in the years ahead. Consider giving to help.

We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren.
