Our BEAT-HF mass community Healthy Heart Events have produced some striking statistics. We conducted tests on 5,373 individuals across the UK for hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and a POCT test using NT_proBNP for those exhibiting BEAT symptoms associated with heart failure. A huge thank you to all NHS teams involved.

At the @HealthInnovNet Heart Failure meeting today. Super to see so many HiN’s adopting the Heart Failure Project 12 in total, the map does say 10 but it’s 12. Great to see #BeatHF adopted as the starting point to the diagnosis module. All this work is a great win for patients for many reasons. Hopefully this work will deliver more efficiency in the diagnosis of heart failure. Currently the time taken is unacceptable.

Our goal is to revolutionise the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure for the patient’s benefit. We aim to achieve this in a remarkably short time of 60 minutes. Around a year ago Danny was diagnosed with #HeartFailure and on Saturday last week he climbed Ben Nevis with his team of Marvellous Mountaineers.

Here's a quote from Danny: “Taking on Ben Nevis was much like tackling Heart Failure. Understand what you are up against and get a great team around you. The funds raised by the Marvellous Mountaineers 2024 will help newly diagnosed patients like I was only 12 months ago to take on their new challenge and live well with Heart Failure”

Another big thank you is in order for Kasey Wilding and his Marvellous United team for organising and taking part in a charity football match on Saturday. The event was a wonderful tribute to Kasey's cousin Jamie who worked tirelessly alongside our charity to raise awareness of Heart Failure and support patients.

The event has raised an amazing £2,660 that will contribute towards our work in further supporting Heart Failure patients across the UK.

On Saturday we held our Patient Educator conference in Liverpool. Thank you to all of our Patient Educators and all of the speakers who came to support the event and contribute their #HeartFailure knowledge.
