One time I had an attending who did bedside rounds on every patient- intubated or not- and just as we were about to leave she would tell the patient “thank you for letting us learn from you today.” I think about that a lot, and sometimes I wish we did that more.

Hey @cvspharmacy my CANCER patient went to fill her pain medication prescription and the pharmacist refused to fill if bc she felt uncomfortable and then KEPT the prescription so she got readmitted to the hospital in severe pain. This is unacceptable!!!
