40yrs ago today- a phonecall yesterday offered us No73 kids show, so it's down to Maidstone for a soundcheck for Saturday's show. 200 miles now but this was before the M40 & M25 were completed. AND we've got to drive back to Polytechnic of Wales, Treforest for our gig later.
deleting later but my hot take of the day is that you can be there for your friends without expecting anything in return but you can also be sad when they dont show up for you
Earlier today, I had my back to my wife when I heard her say, “Do you want to keep this box?”
I froze. Keeping my back turned, I carefully replied, “Please don’t show me the box. I’ll immediately form an emotional attachment to it. Just put it in the bin. Don’t let me see it.”
We narrowly missed adding another box to my special box collection in the garage. But I’m sitting here now, thinking, “I wonder what kind of box it was. I wonder what it might have been useful for.”
