My opinion…
The writing has been on the wall for a while now, BBQ has become extremely trendy in the last few years now and a lot of people have jumped into the BBQ game almost to the point of over saturating the market. With food prices going through the roof and a BBQ Joint on every corner and with only so many customers to go around, eventually the chickens are going to come home to roost. You also have to take into account the accessibility to cheaper and more efficient backyard bbqing equipment along with step by step instructions on how to “do it yourself” Perhaps not as good as your local Top 50 but definitely cheaper per pound coupled with the satisfaction of being able to do it yourself. Why go to town and stand in line to pay a premium price for something you can stay at home and do it yourself and receive all the accolades of being the best pit master in your house, street, neighborhood, etc. Every trend has a life cycle but then again, WTF do I know lol
