In 2008, Topps put *actual cash* inside of basketball cards.

Cards could contain anywhere from $10 to $1000, but you had to rip the card, destroying its value, to reveal the amount.

In 2014, about 6 years before the first Ted Lasso episode, Topps partnered with NBCSN to make this card.

While the timing might seem odd, Lasso was actually a character in an NBC promotional campaign prior to the launch of the now-famous TV show.

These cards were NEVER included in packs, and were ONLY given out at local bars as part of a free promo.

And to make these even more rare, most of them seem to have been thrown away, as they were pretty worthless at the time.

Only TWO copies have ever been graded by PSA.

Two nights ago, someone listed this raw copy on eBay, where it sold almost immediately for $750.
