I'm giving myself 7 minutes to type as much of my personal speculation on the new Tesla Roadster as possible. Ready? Ok, let's go.

• Cold air thrusters: Used to hover the vehicle, launch, and offset fuel consumption at high speeds

• Underbody fans: Used to keep the vehicle planted to the ground or upside down if down force exceeds the gross weight (which I believe it will)

• Body style: Larger wheelbase than the original roadster to fit more batteries & to increases the fan-induced suction as that scales linearly with underbody surface area 📏 Overall, sleek smooth design as before

• Bonus features: I thought last night maybe it'll do hopping tricks or more advanced cold air thrusters maneuvers since Elon once said you can hardly call it a traditional car. For sure a bunch of AI bonus features and advanced materials geared towards performance

• 0-60: without cold air thrusters: 1.8 sec
WITH SpaceX package: 1.25 seconds
(just my best guess)

• & FINALLY, Range 🔋
My guess is 520 EPA-estimated range, but considering it's meant to go much faster, under racing conditions, it's closer to 300 bringing it close to other Teslas but enabling speeds over 150mph for prolonged periods of time

• ALSO, safety will be next level in this car to showcase Tesla's ability to address safety gracefully in such a wild form factor 🏎️

Alright, that was a bit closer 15 minutes but there you go! My predictions!

I could only imagine how difficult it was to design such an insanely capable vehicle. I'm happy with whatever result they unveil tonight bc as we learned with the Cybertruck, the future doesn't always look the way you had first imagined and there's a beautiful lesson in that—in the design of things.
