Linux was never meant to dominate the world. It was just a solution for one broke student. That solution now runs the global economy and most people still don't know its name.
Tor ≠ Proxychains ⛓️💥
Proxychains force apps to route traffic through user-defined proxies (SOCKS4/5, HTTP, HTTPS).
Paths are static, unencrypted, and visible to each proxy. They don’t provide anonymity; they increase attribution friction.
Tor uses onion routing: layered encryption, randomized paths, and rotating circuits. No single relay knows both who you are and where you’re going.
Tor can be used as a proxy with Proxychains, BUT it’s not “just proxychains.”
Understanding the difference matters for OPSEC !
Buen articulo.
I still think the main problem is with the ownership model - the fact that devs don’t own the full system, including infra and ops.”
