Look, all people want is
Housing to be affordable, with the promise that it will steadily increase in value immediately after their purchase.
The taxable value of their home to be low, but the market value when they sell to be high.
The government to not dictate use of their property, while letting them dictate other’s use of any property they live near or see during their weekly routine.
@PatrickHeizer No one should be paying 11.99 at the grocery store either ...almost always they are on some sort of buy # get # free deal when they are priced like that...the actual price is somewhere around 7-8 dollars, which is more than 5-6 they used to be but wont create rage bait
@greggnunziata Likely at the cost of whatever legitamacy the conservative legal movement had left ...thomas, gorsuch, and alito can wax poetic about domicile all they want it wont make that word be in the 14th amendment
@VictorFaculty32@SeanTrende@dilanesper No but thats not becuase of the constitution, thats the 1964 civil rights act, and only applies to public accommodations.
@SeanTrende@VictorFaculty32@dilanesper To my knowlege thats a bit of a open legal question, but not a constitutional lawyer ...certainly would cross the line if it threatened or implied punitive action or restricted other speech...but theres clearly some level at which its acceptable
@baparish@demon_slick@jlippincott Wait till you see what your health insurance premium or even out of pocket cost are when the costs associated with 65+ year olds arent distrubited accross the poplulation
