I was just out front & an elderly woman out walking stopped to ask me if my dad still lived here. I had to tell her that no, he passed away a cpl yrs ago & that i lived here now. I introduced myself & thanked her for stopping to chat. She laughed & said i would prob be her only interaction today & possibly all week.
That made me sad cuz as much as i hate people in general, we are losing our sense of community. Everyone's turning to online for their communities & i don't think that's a good thing. Elderly folk will end up even more isolated than before.
Please check in on the ones you know. Tell them a weird-ass chick on Twitter named Lanie told you to.
@tcboyle Terribly true today. *sigh
Tis why good literature (well, all. good. art.) is essential (both for consumers and creators) during these trying times.
We (and fellow bugs among) us keep us going and give us reason for hope if/when this passes.
Write on, @tcboyle.
@ThrillaRilla369 Guiltiest Pleasure: ROCKY IV
Comedy: original NAKED GUN, PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES
Pure Nostalgia and Joy: STAR WARS ep 4, WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, SECRET OF NIMH
Cinematic Masterpieces hard to watch but brilliant: MAGNOLIA, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, THE LIGHTHOUSE
@Uc_heyy02 I was disppointed w the Sand Snakes on the show
My instinct suggests they were miscast, but like many on the show, they werent given enuf screentime to fully give the characters enuf depth or substance
Of course GOT could have been 5x longer and still not satisfy me, so IDK 🤷♂️
@FNburneraccount@Tim6992@PTSportsFix@S_U_Network True, but availability is a valuable ability.
That said, it doesnt make a player elite.
Comparison could be Eli Manning in NFL. Top ten w many statistical categories (and two rings), but never an elite player. He was a compiler who stayed healthy w two great playoff runs.
@PTSportsFix Depends how much you value a pure hitter.
Gwynn was the better pure hitter
Jeter was clutch in the postseason and compiled stats with so many opportunities never given to Gwynn in the postseason
Gwynn was a much better defender at his position, but tis hard to compare SS w RF
Viento Gris crece junto a Robb.
@RealCandaceO@LauraLoomer is gonna have a field day with this one.
Hope she films herself doing the victory dance. Perhaps the Prisyadka in your honor, @RealCandaceO
