The Constitution says the primary role of the GOVERNMENT is to safeguard the welfare and security of the people. What makes up the Government is not only Federal Government but also the States. So what exactly is wrong in putting internal security within the State to the State?
Many Governors have used the excuses of not having power over security of their states as an excuse for the crisis and insecurity in their states. They argue that the FG is too powerful and power needs to be decentralized. Now that the power is being decentralized, you people have problem with it again?
You just hate this country for nothing
From Next month when we have insecurity Tinubu and his supporters will say ask your Governor, he has his state police to deal with it, he has tactically taken off responsibility from insecurity.
And there shall be inter agency rivalry.
Subsidy Removal, you are against it.
Students Loan, you attack it.
Coastal Road, you talk down on it.
Tax Reform, you say it’s anti-poor.
Local Government autonomy, you say it’s a scam.
State Police, you still don’t support it.
What exactly do you want?
🚨🟢⚪️ Understand Panathinaikos are closing in on Stefan de Vrij deal, agreement at the final stages.
Contract almost agreed and Pana waiting for de Vrij’s final green light, then… here we go. 🇬🇷
Oga shut up abeg. Peter Obi started Vote buying in Nigeria when he wanted to install a successor. I have the report from an international election observer. Don’t provoke me.
I don’t support APC, but I will always give credit to @tokunbo_wahab
I wish other commissioners in Nigeria could learn from him about engaging the public, showing up on Twitter Spaces, and answering questions directly.
He honestly reminds me of one of my local MPs here in Derby.
Well done, sir. I may not support your party, but I respect the work you’re doing.
Appreciation from an opposition supporter.
Last week illbliss called Yoruba “Scavengers” you all silly |diots were silent about it, today TW called Gbadebo by his other name “Chinedu” you all turn JBL
The Truth about Nigerian Tech scene is that all of these developers are just silently TRIBALISTIC and it’ll take more than shipping good products to Unite us
I stayed in Nigeria for couple months and all I’d tell u as a techie who is not YORUBA. Find ur own lane and own it cuz the people who are YORUBA techies at the top won’t want you winning cuz they think the whole country belongs to em. Nigeria can and would never be united with fragile Egos and TRIBALISM masked as “SENIOR DEV”
Egbon Phillip.
I know my brother Patrick is passionate about driving real improvements in the area of sanitation & the environment.
Lagos is a beautiful state. We all want to see it thrive.
Let’s stay above the fray and continue inspiring one another.
Happy Father’s Day to two fine gentlemen, Patrick Chinedu Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Tokunbo Phillip Wahab!
God bless you both. 😎😎😎
I will be gravely ashamed if Ooni celebrates his birthday in Osogbo, outside Ile Ife, even though both are in the same state.
Or Awujale celebrates in Abeokuta, outside Ijebu Ode his kingdom, even though both are in the same State.
Or Alaafin throws a birthday party in Ibadan, outside his Oyo empire, even though it is still the same geographical perimeter called State.
It is an embarrassment of monumental, tectonic proportions when a revered Monarch of Yoruba land appears so detached from his own ancestral stool that he banishes his personal celebrations to foreign soils. Worse still, outside his State. And most damagingly, completely outside his region, away from his people. By what cosmic misalignments should the Awujale celebrate his longevity in Kano, for God’s sake?
Can you imagine that?
Imagine the King of England celebrating his birthday in Washington. I am certain the Sultan would never relocate his personal milestones outside the sacred boundaries of the great Sokoto Caliphate.
Yet, it seems only one people are chronically infected by this deep-seated virus of cultural inferiority.
A lizard does not become a crocodile simply because it refuses to walk on the ground.
Enough Said.
Good Morning Severally...
Many are mad, few are roaming.
The correct word is “Igbo”.
I used to call it “ibo” as well cos I grew up in Ile-Ife.
I got corrected and I switched up.
The constant need to deride the Igbo people by calling them what’s not their name despite several attempts to correct is disrespectful.
Meanwhile, so let me get you, I’m an idiot because I said every Nigerian should be able to vote and contest elections in any part of Nigeria???
lol.
