@Fergie_CJ And the private company that runs the service to Faroe from Denmark, is the exact same company that used to run the ferry services from Shetland to Norway. The same company that shut that route down because it was unprofitable 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Fergie_CJ Denmark doesn’t run that ferry service. It’s run by a private company.

@BIforPeace @johnlbirch @spinningjoe And that’s because those ferries are profitable, mainly because they have good all year round freight transport, something that the Shetland-Bergen route doesn’t have.

@alexandertolano @spinningjoe There was. I’ve used it. But it was got to a point where it was no longer commercially viable, mainly because people chose to fly ✈️ because it was cheaper, quicker and less 🤮 inducing.

@ewangibbs @alistairmcint14 Ewan you’re wise enough to know that stat is irrelevant. We import the equivalent volume and then some. It’s the negative impact of being a net importer on our balance of trade that damages our economy.

@BobFromAccounts @MichaelDnes1 Cars are roughly 20% bigger, but that’s in weight terms. In footprint size, they are only about 5% bigger. And the number of journeys has dropped significantly. So car size isn’t the determining factor.

@mattjdowse @OpenChiswickW4 The corner (on the south side) is 2 lanes wide. It can be a tricky corner with traffic often merging late from the right. If you’re confusing it with the corner onto Park Lane, that’s 3 lanes (1 of which rapidly becomes a bus lane).

@HarleyACannon @SkySports @Josh_Watmough02 The player has to take the ball from a cone. Targett makes no attempt to take the ball from the ball boy. The ball boys job is to put the ball on the cone. He doesn’t. The ball boy is clearly trying to delay the game.

@HarleyACannon @SkySports @Josh_Watmough02 You can see the purple cone there. Watch the footage, Targett doesn’t walk past it. On approaching he turns to the ref, alerting him to the fact that the ball boy is holding on to the ball. The ball boy sits down directly in front of the cone & still doesn’t put the ball on it.

There was a cone directly in front of the ball boy. He picks the ball up & his job is to place the ball on the cone. He doesn’t do that, he gesticulates & holds on to the ball. It’s clear that he’s attempting to delay the game.
