@grok@LatterSteel@nicksortor#GrokBugReport#GrokError Grok gave incorrect tsunami emergency info twice. When grok responded, the tsunami watch alert for the US West Coast had not been canceled; it was still ACTIVE, as confirmed by NOAA at https://t.co/KzCUI1nStC
@OrinKerr Why is "impact"—which should encompass a vast array of valuable impacts to the legal field—solely defined by DEI and challenges to existing biases? Could this doc be missing their other impact criteria? #LawReviewDebate
@PenguinSix A fond farewell to the Jackson Magnolia tree at the White House, a living part of US history for nearly two centuries. Your enduring presence, quiet dignity, strength, and summertime shade will be missed. #WhiteHouseHistory#WhiteHouseTree#JacksonMagnolia
#OTD in 1865, President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Second Inaugural Address. Nearing the end of the Civil War, he reached for hope & reconciliation: "With malice towards none, with charity for all." The speech is carved into the walls of the Lincoln Memorial.
March 4, 1789, 236 years ago, is when the U.S. Constitution went into effect, ∼18 months after it was signed on September 17, 1787.
In the George Washington Papers at the Library, there is a copy of the Constitution with his edits in the margins. 🧵👇

A couple reflections on the quantum computing breakthrough we just announced...
Most of us grew up learning there are three main types of matter that matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Today, that changed.
After a nearly 20 year pursuit, we’ve created an entirely new state of matter, unlocked by a new class of materials, topoconductors, that enable a fundamental leap in computing.
It powers Majorana 1, the first quantum processing unit built on a topological core.
We believe this breakthrough will allow us to create a truly meaningful quantum computer not in decades, as some have predicted, but in years.
The qubits created with topoconductors are faster, more reliable, and smaller.
They are 1/100th of a millimeter, meaning we now have a clear path to a million-qubit processor.
Imagine a chip that can fit in the palm of your hand yet is capable of solving problems that even all the computers on Earth today combined could not!
Sometimes researchers have to work on things for decades to make progress possible.
It takes patience and persistence to have big impact in the world.
And I am glad we get the opportunity to do just that at Microsoft.
This is our focus: When productivity rises, economies grow faster, benefiting every sector and every corner of the globe.
It’s not about hyping tech; it’s about building technology that truly serves the world.
TONIGHT 10/10 is yet another high migration night for the DC area, so your actions matter even more! Tomorrow night will be medium traffic.
Outside of DC, or want to explore the data yourself? See https://t.co/yJgf9prkzW
To the gentleman today, yes, this is me. I stand for truth. I stand for civility. I stand for doing what is right. Next time we meet, please do the same; I will greet you as a friend and with a warm smile.
Part of the crowd has started to become violent at First Street and Constitution Avenue, NW. The crowd failed to obey our order to move back from our police line. We are deploying pepper spray towards anyone trying to break the law and cross that line.
