Andika Magazine is among the few media outlets in #Burundi that primarily use #English in its posts on social media platforms (@facebook , @LinkedIn , @instagram , @X , and @YouTube ) and articles on its website (https://t.co/eiGWeICSCr). Its goal is to reach as many people as possible. Since its approval in August 2022 by the National Communication Council, it has been collaborating with international stakeholders to advance #development and #storytelling in #Burundi.
On April 5, 2023, @andikamagazine had the honor of hosting a visit by Karin Ehlert, the former Public Affairs Officer of the @US_Emb_Burundi . Her visit occurred during her tenure in the country. “𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩, 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 (𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭) 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴’ 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴,” mentioned @BoshirwaMelchi , our founder.
During her visit, Karin Ehlert engaged with the team and learned about Andika Magazine's initiatives, such as the #strongwomen series featuring “Inspiring Women” success stories. “𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯’𝘴 𝘋𝘢𝘺 2023. As 2025 approaches and with plans for another magazine, Andika Magazine takes this momentous occasion to emphasize the importance of collaborating with all stakeholders involved in entrepreneurship, youth and women empowerment, gender equality, and the fight against gender-based violence. “𝘐𝘯 2025, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦 (𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘵) 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴, 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴.
