@JordanSMonk Going off what I saw with my own eyes having been going to games for 40 years. Off the top of my head, the header from Thompson early door, Kenny’s shot that was just wide, plus decent situations we got into without executing/making the right decision. The last 25-30 was shite.
1: GA’s taking some unfair stick for these comments. 1st half was pretty even and we certainly had chances to score more. 2nd half started brightly and again had chances. Fell to shit after that - that’s on the players. Manager can’t come in and publicly slate them though #pnefc
⚪ "It's hard, because the result is a real stinger for us...I thought we were really in the game".
#Preston boss Graham Alexander after losing 4 - 1 to #Wrexham.

2: It isn’t the 1980s, bollockings don’t work with modern players & he needs to keep them on side to prevent morale hitting rock bottom. He can’t change what we all acknowledge is our shittest squad since Westley & our defensive frailties date back much more than 3 games #pnefc
Haaland getting man-marked by some 34 year old bricklayer at Deepdale on a Tuesday night.
Cherki trying six roulettes on a cabbage patch at Stoke before getting launched into the advertising boards.
Anderson discovering that nobody at Millwall gives a fuck about his progressive carries.
Doku doing 14 stepovers at The Den just for a bloke called Gaz to two foot the ball into Row Z.
Foden trying to find space between the lines while Preston have nine men behind the fucking ball.
I lived for this.
@WhitehartMike@Champchatpod24 I don’t disagree. We’re PNE not Real Madrid, you’d have to be addled with hallucinogenics and a major delusional disorder to think the very best managers would even think of applying.
@WhitehartMike@Champchatpod24 You can’t just dismiss them as not having achieved anything because it didn’t work out at North End. All bar the very very top elite get ‘found out’ eventually. We’ve still appointed plenty who’ve achieved things in their careers to that point.
@WhitehartMike@Champchatpod24 PH took over Barnsley in 12th and Sheff Utd in 16th, RL (Bury mid table) AN (Hamilton in 5th and Norwich in 7th then kept them both up), SG multiple most notable lashers 4th from bottom, GW took Stevenage up twice, PB Hull in 22nd, DF Peterborough mid-league 2 to championship.
@WhitehartMike@Champchatpod24 4 of our last 5 appointments had at least one promotion on their managerial cv (3 from the level we were playing at), 8 of our last 10 did.
@WhitehartMike We were PB’s first club after taking Hull up and kept them up. Wasn’t obvious at the time he was ‘on the slide’. JB had just been at the top end of a division above us, one we hadn’t been in for over a decade, and had 2 promotions to his name.
@JackGoodwin2001 We also can’t play a back 4 until we have a sufficient number of wingers - Mills was knackered on Saturday but had no like for like replacements, hence changing to a back 5.
@nicowizzyikenna Joint bottom, lost 85% of games this season, win ratio of 19% in last 31 games and failed to score in 40% of those, no clean sheet in 22 games; what would be reason enough ‘to facilitate his dismissal’?
Update on the late arrival of our 2026/27 playing kits:
We now have reason to believe the ship carrying them from the manufacturer in Pakistan has been seized by Houthi pirates.
If anyone is aware of a Houthi customer helpline or complaints procedure please get in touch ASAP.
