Space flight has a purpose, it’s not about looking at pictures of rockets and “plans.” Discussing whether a given platform can actually ACHIEVE it is just sensible.

@Overlord_Comics There are a lot of tactics that you could be doing to boost numbers, but I appreciate that they’re all secondary to just creating good content, which I assume is why you’re actually doing this, not to chase numbers. Some@of them can seem quite gimmicky and desperate as well.

@hankgreen @_MarsTina Kids today are being taught math way more as playing with concepts of groups of things, so they grasp them more readily than we did. The way we were taught was mostly rote symbol manipulation (ie “carry the two”, long division)

@hankgreen @_MarsTina This is the exactly the result that the “New Math” is supposed to provide. (As an aside, remember when our biggest source of outrage as a country was New Math??? Man, those were good times…)
