I can safely now say, should the Kickstarter succeed, we have a confirmed professional wrestling training facility ready for us to use for motion capture; with trained wrestlers ready to participate.
We can't name the facility just yet before you ask, but this is a huge step forward. 👊
More progress on #HONR.
- Apron diving
- Joint/bone homing based moves (diving example)
- Non-joint/bone homing based moves
- Non-locked ring direction enter/exit
- Running dives (with non-locked direction)
- Top rope attacks
- Ring post irish whip events
- Irish whip IK solved
The goal of this pass was to have a lot more freedom when it comes to how you execute moves, modern games lock you to specific positions, I hate that.

More progress on #HONR.
- Turnbuckle moves/strikes /w sitting
- Grapple driving (like Def Jam Vendetta)
- Springboard moves
- Opponent awareness/following
- Ground moves/strikes (unconstricted direction/landing)
- Turnbuckle falling (% chance to fall to the outside)
- Running grapple/strikes
- Running the ropes
Still need to fix irish whip motion warping, and some tightening up on events per animation but everything you see is dynamic docking & ik (feet on ropes etc); this was a big milestone.

@XGWFed@EPWShow I would be open to ip's working on packs, similar to how Fire Pro did the NJPW cross over. But that's asking a lot, seems a bit unrealistic companies would want to do that.
There won't be any, it'll be HONR Moveset Man/Woman only, with a library of moves - it's too much of a clusterfuck to bother with wrestler likeness contracts and ugly unknown characters nobody wants.
It's a sandbox for modders. Should the Kickstarter be a success, and a build is playable, you can expect modders who I am close friends with to have content ready (Characters, Arenas etc).
@HotepReggie I'm one of the original modders from that game scene! It's a curse to mention it, it's a bit like saying MacBeth.
I'll always choose what is fun, and feels good to play, triggering it anytime will most likely be a thing.
1.) I'm not a fan of chain wrestling, but it'll come into the game eventually after I listen to what people want from it.
2.) Yes
3.) Yes, but before any of that even remotely enters the cycle, the main flow gameplay must be perfected first.
4.) Yes, that's a must. (togglable).
@a16bitguy Yeah I agree, you can see in the video it switches to a different dive depending on the distance to the apron - the game will let you choose your actual dive and the correction dive for distance.

@PES01182363@East_Dak0ta On its way, been doing a bit of an upgrade to the disco tool so it'll drop shortly. Keep an eye on @TranquilKraken too for things like that. 👊
@StoreyXIV No worries at all mate, I was working on a recomp using the Github and it was able to dump the functions which I then traced their use with Ghidra - the hardest part was the AI.
There's still plenty to do as you can see in the video though!
This is something we've been working on as a small side quest.
We've almost rebuilt the SmackDown 2 game in Unreal Engine 5.
This SDReloaded Engine will be released for Free, open source on Github when done for non-commercial reasons, ghouls don't get any ideas.
Support of @dot_discovery continued support is enabling us to do things like this, so thank you. 👊
Obvious things to clean up (aprons etc), but it's cool to see how they rendered the characters off screen and had them appear in through the tron.
