@MikkaHansen @bigboysdrink@wizards_magic This is the same logic that brought to the ban of Bridge instead of Hogaak... we all know how it ended up. Fast mana isn't a problem when you design cards that don't abuse it.
@bigboysdrink@wizards_magic Opal is the only card that kept Affinity and Hardened Scales playable in the format. So, let's destroy 2 fair archetypes (one of which is the oldest in the format) to save a broken deck. Ah, by the way, Opal isn't the problem... KCI, Urza, etc are the problems.
@bigboysdrink@wizards_magic Are you sure about that? In the past I would have thought that too... but not now. Just think about this: Urza is the broken deck... should you ban Urza or Mox Opal? Of course Urza... but you ban the Mox because it doesn't sell you packs. Is that healthy? Does it save formats?
