3 years of media PR, 0 years of real progress. Ekiti deserves better, not another round of ‘Leader sir’ praise. Here’s the truth 👇
The Truth About the Current Ekiti State Government
The current Ekiti State Government led by the @biodunaoyebanji has become more active on social media than in actual governance. This administration is more interested in defending mediocrity online than delivering tangible progress on ground.
In one of his own videos, the Governor practically confirmed this himself when he threatened government employees who refused to defend him on social media, saying:
“Those of you that are on platforms where they’re dragging us and you kept quiet, and you’re collecting money from this administration? We will come back to you.”
This statement alone exposes the mindset of a government that values propaganda over performance.
Some of these employees still have conscience — they know the truth, this administration has underperformed.
But the rest? They’ve turned to full-time online praise-singers always shouting “Leader sir! Leader sir!” all over social media instead of demanding real progress for Ekiti people.
Yes, in fairness, Ekiti has seen some progress in health equipment and agriculture. But when it comes to human development, empowerment, and infrastructure, this government has failed woefully.
After three years in power, there’s nothing serious to show for it. They even commissioned the Omisijana link to Ikere Road with the Vice President in attendance, while the main Ikere Road remains a nightmare.
This government loves shortcuts and side roads. They fixed the small link beside Bovas to Spotless Road — good job — but why abandon the main Zenith–Adekaitan–Spotless–Egbewa Road and the Egbewa–NTA stretch? There’s not a single good road in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital!
✔️Tinuola Link Road – Adehun? Dead.
✔️Matthew Street Link Road to Odo Ado? Condemned.
✔️Oke Ila to Afao Road? Terrible.
✔️The pothole at Basiri Junction can swallow a car.
✔️Barisi Road? Totally abandoned.
✔️The two huge craters after Fajuyi before Textile need urgent attention.
To make matters worse, quack contractors are being handed Ekiti projects. How can a contractor block the entire State Hospital to – Dallimore road for three days because of “repairs” and still deliver nothing? A responsible government would have fixed that overnight.
Even the projects initiated by Dr. Kayode Fayemi (JKF) like the Airport are still dragging without meaningful completion or optimization. And the much-hyped Ring Road that was supposed to be the biggest flex of this administration? It ended up being just a single-lane carriageway branded as “Phase 1.”
Meanwhile, the Third Extension GRA, where the Governor resides, was fully dualized and mapped out properly but not done in phases, not delayed. So you see, priorities are clear.
This administration keeps scratching the surface of real problems instead of solving them.
Let’s look back at real leadership examples:
✅The Ekiti Parapo State Pavilion by @kfayemi — is a project of purpose and pride.
✅The Awolowo Civic Centre — the tallest, most impactful building in Ekiti, now a business hub driving entrepreneurship, creativity, and youth collaboration. Even car dealers now shoot their promo content there.
That’s the kind of infrastructure Ekiti people deserve.
If there’s truly no money, then seek international grants. Be intentional about solutions, not excuses.
Because right now, Ekiti people are poorer than ever. Businesses are struggling. Political structures are crying. “Training, training,” yet no genuine empowerment.
Instead of wasting ₦24 billion on a flyover at Ijigbo (when Ado roads don’t even have 10 minutes of gridlock except during “BAO at Work”), why not create a ₦10 billion “Invest in Ekiti” initiative independent from politics — managed by credible business development service providers (BDSPs)?
Create a transparent Investment Portal, invite real investors, list incentives like tax holidays and security guarantees, and watch growth happen.
Sit with real business owners not just “Leader sir” loyalists and ask what they need:
ABUAD, Delight, 101 Lounge, Amala Spot (producing vegetable oil locally!), Bolab Farms (now hatching day-old chicks right here in Ekiti!), Signature Farms, hospitality players, fuel stations, these are the real contributors to our economy.
Inclusiveness isn’t about who praises you online, it’s about who you empower offline.
It’s time for Governor @biodunaoyebanji to wake up and lead beyond hashtags and media tours.
We the Ekiti people deserve better, real development, not digital defense.
Ekiti a Gbe a o!
Together we can #SAVENIGERIANFOOTBALL the one sports that gives us joy!!
Let’s trend #SaveNigerianfootball , I believe our voices together can bring a massive change in the sports we all love so much.
It’s not a one person thing, it’s our thing 🙏🏽❤️
Look around you, you see the dreams that die everyday and the Talents that are wasting around.
DO IT FOR THEM 🙏🏽
THIS IS IT!
This is where I draw the curtains and call it a day!
What a journey! What a ride this has been.
After eleven years of active duty to this great nation, I say with a sense of pride that I gave it my all.
The army found me worthy enough and gave me a sense of purpose, a life defined by discipline and strict routines, friendships that will last a lifetime, adventures and memories money simply cannot buy.
I’ve seen it all—from serving in the vibrant streets of Lagos to the soul-snatching landscapes of the Northeast.
I’ve had my fill—from making the best of friends to seeing the death of the best of men.
Now it’s time to take my feet of these pedals and chart a new course with the guidance of the utmost discipline, sense of security and leadership that the army has given me.
Let it be known that I was never disgruntled, my helmet was never too heavy for my head, my boots were never too muddy for my feet, nor did I at any point lack trust in the leadership of the Nigerian army and the armed forces at large.
I served this country with everything and some extra.
To the men who continue to put their lives at stake for the sake of this great nation, I wish you all well and God’s guidance.
To the men who we started this journey together but are no longer here, may your efforts and labor not go in vain!
This is it….this is where this gun-slinging road comes to an end.
What a journey, what a ride this has been!

Translation:
Ogbè carry your child very well
Ogbè adjust your child on your back
Carrying other people's children is not profitable,
When a child is crying,
We call upon the mother to pacify him/her
Please, tell the strange mother who is carrying me to take me back to my real mother....
Now, this Odù Ifá Ogbè Òtúrúpọ̀n has very deep message for us:
1. It speaks to most of ọmọ Adúláwọ̀ who are busy carrying on their back the foreign religions of Arabs and Rome cum Israel to give such back to the owners.
2. It also speaks to us to carry our own Ìsẹ̀se on our back and stop carrying other people's religions. Stop spending money to develop Israel and Saudi Arabia in the name of foreign religions. Your own nation, ancestral Ìsẹ̀se and spiritual wisdom is crying for attention, take care of what is yours.
3. When a child is crying, it is the mother we call upon to help out. That is very true. We, the ọmọ Ifẹ̀ Oòdáyé, ọmọ Adúláwọ̀ (a.k.a. Yorùbá) are crying right now, and some uninformed people are busy calling strange mothers to come and help them. They are calling the mothers of Israelites and Arabians for help. Ifá says that it will never help us. Until we call our real mothers, the Irúnmọnlẹ̀, we will continue to grove in the dark and continue to cry. Therefore, let's call our own mother for help.
4. Finally, Ifá says that we should ask the strange mothers to return me to my real mother.
Now, this speaks of all of us having to wake up and return to our various real mothers in order to live a peaceable and fulfilling life.
Many come from the lineage of Ọ̀sun, Ọya, Sàngó, Ifá, Ògún, Ọbàtálá, Obaluaye, Òrìṣà Oko, Egungun, etc, but have abandoned their mothers, following strange mothers about, and thereby living in the world with reckless abandonment.
They die untimely, they walk through life blindly. Everything they do is just trial and error. Go back to your own mothers my dear African people.
Abiyamọ kìí gbọ́ ẹkún ọmọ rẹ̀ kó má tatíwere
(Meaning, no mother hears the cries of her child without being responsive).
We have no answer to our burning national desires, agitation, wishes, and cries because we are following a strange mother, who doesn't recognise our voice.
Let's go back to the ways of our real mothers.
Ire o!!!
If you came across this fact, know that it's half story and half stories are dangerous.
The woman was part of a poaching group that killed elephant babies, including that if this elephant matriarch.
Elephants have long life and very good memories. If you wrong them, they will mark your face. They can pay back after 30 years. After trampling on her corpse, the elephant still went ahead to destroy her house and some others close to it.
People suspected that other houses destroyed belonged to poachers too.
