Yes, this really happened. He blocked bills for an audit MULTIPLE TIMES

Bipartisan bill AB 2903 (unanimous passed 72-0 in the Assembly, 40-0 in the Senate) would’ve forced annual public reports on where the money went

Newsom vetoed it.

Gavin Newsom also vetoed similar bills AB 2570 and AB 2093

(This in addition everything else that’s been said) Set target, pitcher hit target, watch ball into glove, subtle movement to frame if needed (won’t be once ABS fully active at least at pro level). Make pitcher’s life easier.

@BaseballQuotes1 According to how the rule is written it was 100% the right call. But in reality there is a HUGE difference between this and a ball that disappears into the ivy at Wrigley. Correct call by rule, but the rule is terrible. Both things can be true.

@bamabyte @BadSportsRefs Top of helmet was on the chin but didn’t lead with the crown. No launch…watch the replay…Burks’s foot on the ground when contact occurred. WR pushed from behind changes the timing. What is Burks supposed to do…not possible to react. Maybe a penalty but ejection was ridiculous.
