Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies. And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on.
I know your pain, your rage, your sense of despair and hopelessness. Justice has, indeed, been denied for far too long. Rioting, looting, and burning is not the way. Organize. Demonstrate. Sit-in. Stand-up. Vote. Be constructive, not destructive. https://t.co/YbB14dgzr9
I see all the DMs from my really heart broken newly aware white brothers and sisters. Tbh I just don’t have the vitality right now to tell you what your homework is and help you process what you should do. I’m still grieving. start here. Find the links yourselves
We were excited about the lower airfares but so disappointed in the in flight treatment from @Allegiant . 8 months pregnant and flight crew didn’t even offer a cup of water. Just wanted to know if I would be interested in buying a bottle. #NonPreggoFriendly
@HootieBelle Exactly. And worse, unfortunately they are not only attacking CRTI ideologies but the faithful men who put forth the resolution. They have made it personal but are masking it as theological differences.
Coming out of the woodwork to denounce this nonsense. Call someone who actually knows CRTI and have a conversation. Don’t know anyone? Call me. I will find you some people and resources. Sad to see these men proving the very ideologies they are condemning.

@MattHodge2490 @jfouse@JemarTisby If one finds social justice as a larger construct to be a natural and healthy horizontal outworking (and more, a command) of the gospel’s in-works (salvation) vertically, then those opposed to SJ as a whole would be seen as not having diverting views but ignoring the gospel call.
@HootieBelle In short, it is an academic tool, a theoretical framework that we believe, under the subjection of Scripture, is a useful tool in understanding racial frameworks.
White Mayor Gives Extremely Racist Answer on Why She Won’t Hire Black Candidate https://t.co/wysezfCUnG via @Splinter_news // and this is what our silence brings us to- bad doctrine, TERRIBLE doctrine. This isn’t a Xian stance, it’s a racist one.
Teaching through Ezra 8-10 this weekend, which means we’re hitting #interracialmarriage. Doing a survey of evangelical positions from historicity & I’ve got to tell you... mostly crickets. Apparently we’ve been just as silent (when we’re not heretical) yesterday as we are today.
The older I get the more Black History means to me.
I’m not a nationalist or tribal; just aware of God’s faithfulness and palpable activity in the history of my people. He has brought us a mighty long way.
