Yemen is intervening to stop a modern-day holocaust and the United States and the United Kingdom are desperately trying to keep it going.
Thats it. That’s the story. Yemen's actions represent one of history's clearest moral choices. There won’t be a debate in the history books.
israeli soldiers shot her little body with over 300 bullets and killed the paramedics who tried to get to her. this is who we must continue fighting for. for Hind and every single child that was slain and their futures stolen from them by the zionist state.
Tears of joy, grief, relief, and resilience.
Oh people of Gaza after watching you slaughtered for a year and a half, seeing your smiles is everything.
Your joy is our joy, as your pain was our pain.
May Allah preserve your joy here, and extend it into the hereafter. Ameen
Gaza has taught the world that decolonization is not just a metaphor. To resist colonization and colonial erasure is to struggle for self-determination and liberation from oppression. It is rooted in a deep love for their people and land, for life and dignity. Gaza teaches life.
“Whoever stays until the end, will tell the story.
We did what we could. Remember us.”
Words of Dr Mahmoud Abu Nujaila killed in an Israeli attack on Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia, northern Gaza. 20/10/23.
You made this day possible. Those who gave up their lives and those who gave up their freedom. You have changed the meaning of dedication above and beyond the call of duty. May your glorious memory live on as the brightest of the night stars.
Sky News, "How are you feeling?"
Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, "Most of the people I know in Gaza are searching through the rubble of their homes for the bodies of their loved ones"
"My colleagues in the health system are making their way back to the ruins of the different hospitals to see how we can start rebuilding the health system"
"Over 950 health workers have been killed by Israel in this genocidal war, we remember their bravery"
"Doctors killed in their houses.. Tortured in Israeli prisons"
"Today is a day we think of our dead, we think of our people and we plan for tomorrow"
"Despite the attempt to erase the Palestinian people, tomorrow is a Palestinian day"
"13,000 Palestinian women and children who need immediate surgery.. 33 hospitals destroyed, 12 universities destroyed.. 22,000 Palestinian children have been orphaned.. 4,500 Palestinian children with amputations.. 15 months of genocidal erasure"
"We now need to help the people in Gaza mend their wounds and fix their lives"
Sky News, "It is intolerable that so many children have died, been maimed. You may have heard the Israeli government spokesman who said it was Hamas who started this conflict on October 7th with their brutality.. What do people think about Hamas, do they wish they had never broken through the border, fired 4,300 rockets, do they wish that had never happened?"
Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah, "We wish that 1948 never happened.. That Israel had not tried to wipe out the indigenous population of Palestine and turned our families into refugees.. That the Sabra and Shatila massacre didn't happen.. That the killings of the first and second intifadas and all of the wars in Gaza had never happened"
"This is a war against the Palestinian people.. To randomly pick a point at which to say this is when we will accept history"
"What lies at the heart of the narrative of the Israeli spokesman whose boss is now wanted by the International Criminal Court, so he literally works for a wanted war criminal.. What marks his discourse is the racial othering of Palestinians"
"The fact that he finds 18,000 Palestinian dead children completely ungrievable. He does not find it in any way problematic that his arm amputated the limbs of over 4,500 Palestinian children"
"Your channel refers to Palestinians are prisoners, even the children arrested without trial. And the Israelis as hostages. Is a gain a racialised othering of Palestinians that has allowed the genocide to happen for 15 months"
"Our lives don't matter. Neither to you, or to him, because of the colour of our skin, because we are Arab muslims. The racialised othering of Palestinians allowed this genocide to take place"
“It is the nature of a colonizer’s role, whether the warden is male or female, to see themselves as superior, oppressive, and arrogant, and to believe that they can crush the dignity of prisoners.”
Khalida Jarrar, PFLP revolutionary & political prisoner who will be released soon
It ends when Palestine is free; when reparations are paid and war criminals are prosecuted and equality for all is the norm. The road is long but we will travel it, inshallah.
Note that he's not even bothering to pretend he's talking about Hamas. He's talking about crushing the joy of ordinary people celebrating the news that they & their families might not be starved and butchered anymore. Straight up sadism.
I’ve just read the most heartbreaking news I’ve ever seen. Apparently since April 2023 half a million infants died from malnutrition in Sudan. Half a million infants!!! And people still like to downplay the severity of Sudan’s crisis. It’s indeed the biggest humanitarian crisis.
